Tappi's Cafe

The food here is SO GOOD. I’ve been here twice and everything I’ve ordered (only savory dishes so far) has been top notch.

Tucked away in a corner, this restaurant is a gem! Menu variety, shop made bread and pastries, coffee blends, all delicious. The staff is welcoming and helpful. Great experience!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated right away. A great start to an even better meal! My fiancèe and I ordered the Honeymoon latte (vanilla latte sweetened with honey) and a Dirty Chai to start, both were super delicious, beautiful and handcrafted to perfection. For our meals my fiancèe ordered the Beefee Benedict which is served with Kufta (think Mediterranean "meatloaf" with robust herbs and spices) and a house blend cheese on top of English muffins and a made from scratch Hollandaise sauce. And I had ordered the Shakshuka "Special" which is on the regular menu, that's just how they named this dish and that comes with grilled onions and peppers, Kufta, two sunny side eggs in a rich and perfectly acidic tomato puree and houseblend cheese with a house made Bread dome on top of the whole dish. Delicious is an understatement, the food, the drinks the atmosphere, I mean everything fit so prefect. They have a little taste of different cultures and offer healthy alternatives and everything is made in house and I could not say anything bad about this place. 10 out of 10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to try other amazing dishes.

The service was really good and all of the waitresses were super accommodating, however the wait times were ridiculous and the food is honestly some of the worst and heaviest I've ever had, tasting old and dry. I got a regular and chocolate crossaint that didn’treally taste like anything besides heaps of nutella. I also got an iced matcha that was chalky, and a latte didn’t seem to have any coffee in it. I wouldn't reccomend it, especially considering the high prices.

The only thing that I hate is that it took this long for me to try this place. The food here is really good! I tried the khachupuri and shakshuka and they both were excellent. I will try the khachupri with kielbasa next time I go. The bread is served hot and it is soft and delicious. The service was excellent. This is a place I will be returning to.

This place is such a great place for coffee and food. I couldn't wait for my next day off to go again since I work the same hours they're open. Pleasant addition to the area. The special and the puffy pancakes are currently my favorite.

The food here is surprisingly exceptional. The place is very unassuming at first. Inside it is very clean and well put together. We were immediately greeted and informed it was a full service experience and to have a seat and menus would be brought over shortly. The menu was broken down in expert fashion. They could use pictures to help guests understand what the food options look like but the server was extremely helpful anyhow. The food was delicious, the bread was super fresh, the coffee was delicious as well. We will for sure be coming back and recommending this place to friends.

Everything is always delicious! Attention to detail in plating is beautiful, especially since we eat with our eyes first. It’s all fresh and made to order and you can taste the love. Service is excellent and friendly. So happy Tappi’s is up and running — it’s our new fave neighborhood breakfast place! :) Hope it sticks around for a long time! Updating this a year later: Tappi’s Cafe is officially our fave breakfast haunt still to this day. The prices have gone up a smidge but the quality has not changed, even with how busy they always are! The food is still delicious and service is friendly and fast. Everything we’ve ever ordered has tasted like a touch of magic went into it. We’ve taken many friends and family members to Tappi’s and everyone has loved it. Special thank you to Evel for always being so welcoming! Also, I could eat the potatoes and nothing else for the rest of my life and be happy. The end.
