Great food, excellent wait staff, and an amazing patio contrasted with an intimate indoor space. Great for larger groups as well as couples. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is accessible and on a single level. I have not checked washrooms for accessibility.

Went for a quick lunch today, had their awesome chowder soup and chicken clubhouse. Also had their espresso martini.

Stopped in twice on the way to and from the Hullo ferry. Food was delicious. Our server for cocktails before our departure home was amazing. Lyle is great and made us feel right at home. Thanks for the incredible service!

Right off the harbor, we were able to visit this gem of a location. We were seated in the outdoor area, and compared to what some others thought, it was NOT an airline lounge. The beer flight was delicious and I wish that I could have had a second. It was good sampling local BC beers! They also had a wine flight, but I figured I should save it for another time. The food was delicious and came out rather quickly. We were able to get a second bowl of chips for free. The portion sizes were very doable, and the meal both looked and tasted great. Overall, would highly recommend!

Rude waiters. We order chicken wings which is a food that is supposed to be eaten by hand since time immemorial. There is no way around it with knife and forks. The chicken wings were saucy and therefore a bit messy, but not a big deal. After we are done eating and have enough napkins in the table, this passive aggressive waitress whom I don’t know the name of gives us ten napkins even when we didn’t ask for it and tells us that we might “need it”. She is a blondie who worked @ 7-8PM on Sunday February 18 at the window side of the restaurant. Dear Tap & Barrel, if you truly value your customers and how they are served and take this matter into your hands and give that (respectfully) bratty lady a reality check-up. We know that everyone is after their own money and thats why we tipped her despite her attitude. So it would be nice if she knew her place.

Ya it was nice. Very, very busy, quite loud, and a 15-minute wait for a walk-in table for two. Saying all that, the service did not lack at all being so busy, even though we were warned in may. It was pretty easy to wait for fifteen minutes while being in downtown Vancouver near the water. We just went for a little stroll and took in the views that were literallyall around. Once we got our text that our table was ready, we actually had minimal wait time, and our server was very friendly. Close walk to the convention center. Food was excellent. It was a great dinner out in the most excellent of locations.

Food and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Our waiter was lovely. Definitely will be returning.

It's a pub, so it's not gourmet.
