The flavor of the ramen was good but it was lukewarm. The egg was cold. I ordered the ultra spicy ramen, but it wasn't spicy at all.
Really not sure what happened to this place but it fell off as far as quality / taste goes, 1 year ago I would’ve put it as one of the best Ramen spots in Arizona and comparable to Ramen that you’d get in Japan but not anymore, not sure if they changed their recipe but the broth has lost all its flavor, they also changed up their Chashu which was a huge mistake…. Pretty stingy on the broth as well, last time I came in the broth barely filled up all the ingredients…. Not too happy about writing this review as Tampopo used to be a weekly spot for me but not anymore.
The tonkustu we received was way too salty. So was the other choices. The chatsu was also very bad. In the curry noodle we found two small pieces of protein. The food part received zero point. We thought the shop is specialized in ramen and must know how to make it. But it is unfortunately not true. First time and last time. The ambience not bad and the servers were friendly.
I will go out of the way to have their ramen when the craving hits. I literally do not have the words for how amazing this place is. They make and proof their own noodles you can see almost everything they are doing in the kitchen (depends where you sit). The stock/ broth smells constantly in the air. It is amazing and I can't recommend enough
Tried calling multiple times to try and reserve a few seats because I know it's a small shop, all 5 times rang all the way through till the call was disconnected.
Ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and it had zero flavor. Service was good.
Disappointed since they made some changes: they don't torch the porks anymore so it’s fatty. The broth doesn't taste as good as it used to and the price went up but the quantity of the broth is so tiny. Used to come here a lot but not really worth it anymore.
i feel so deceived. the vegetarian option is just PURE SOY MILK BROTH WHAT. who wants ramen cereal. Que asco why is veggie broth so hard to buy y’all just made me waste 15 bucks for Secretion-Tasting-Soup
