Always our go to. Never disappointing. I have not had a bad dish.
So disappointing. Ordered French dip and it was 100% bland. Do not recommend that. Sad the Reuben is gone. It was good. Still great service though and I love the Sip n Go Naked beer. Just meh on the food.
From other reviews, I think I came on a really off night for food. I ordered an iced tea, and I found it undrinkable. How can you mess up iced tea? The ingredients are water and tea. The ceasar salad was good, but the hamburger was dry and bland. It looked like a gray hockey puck as it had no sear on it. It didn't even taste like they put S&P on it before cooking. How do you get a bad burger in Montana? My husband and son got chicken tenders, and they were really good. Other things to note: the ladies' room is small and apparently does not have warm water to wash your hands. The water that does come out is about 40 degrees F. There is a sign that says there is a changing table in the upstairs ladies' room. Just what a mother wants; to haul 1 or 2 babies/toddlers up a flight of stairs, then wash your hands in 40° water. And haul them back down. There was also a puddle of something in the dining area at the end of a table (see photo), which was untouched the entire time we were there. A group at that table left, then 20 minutes later, another group was seated there. Even though they put up a warning sign, I found it odd that there was no attempt to soak it up.
Though I have been to Tamarack Missoula for lunch/dinner, my primary encounter with Tamarack in Missoula is for brunch. I think that their brunch is very good. If you go early, when they first open at 10 AM, they usually aren't very crowded and you can get served quickly. By 11, things are starting to get busier. My favorite item on the brunch menu is the Breakfast Burrito. It's a very good value for the money, a rather large, very tasty burrito. They will provide you with an assortment of condiments for your burrito if you ask, such as hot sauce or sour cream. I usually get a beer with my burrito. Last visit, I got their hazy IPA, the Hi-Line. It was delicious. I also enjoy the Sip and Go Naked, as well as the Switchback Stout. I like stouts but 10 in the morning is a little early for me to quaff such a hearty brew. Missoula has numerous breweries. I would rank Tamarack in the upper third of those breweries, not the best, but definitely not the worst either. Their special superpower is the delicious food they provide to accompany their beers. As I stated at the beginning, I have also had lunch/dinner at Tamarack. Their fish tacos are quite good, possibly the best in town, though the Meagher Bar also has very good fish tacos. The Verde Pork Burrito is very good as well. Of the burgers, the Tamarack Cheeseburger is my favorite, though I choose bleu cheese for my cheese choice and add bacon (both are an extra charge, but well worth it). I haven't had their pizzas. I'll have to try one on some future visit. If you are looking for a dining option that serves its own beer on the side, though mixed drinks are also available, you can't go wrong with Tamarack. They are a solid dining option that, in my opinion, has one of the best brunches in town.
Friendly, courteous wait staff. Nice atmosphere. Great food at a moderate peice.
They must not like to sell beer cause the food is outstanding. Bring a big appetite cause the meals are big. Had the half size order of nachos and couldn't eat half of that. Really good. Service was good and lots of TV's for sports. Definitely worth a stop. Know I'll be back.
It's a spacious, two-story bar with lots of seating. It's known for serving generous portions of decent quality food (nachos). While the bar itself is a primary draw, the food makes for a convenient and satisfactory option when you're there, though it might not be the main attraction.
We went for lunch, very good drinks, service was great! Enjoyed the food and comfortable place to be.
