So glad to see that they have a new home. Great service and food. Really hard to find a place in Queens that serves authentic sushi from Japan.

Their space combined a cafe and Japanese restaurant, and they have authentic Japanese food. The fish is really fresh and the sashimi we had are delicate and delicious. We and many of our friends like this place! Vegetarian options: Don’t miss their vegetable tempura.

I'll be the first to admit that I was hesitate to try the "new" version of Takesushi given my last review on another food platform. But I'm so glad I did b/c they've definitely made some changes for the better since their popularity last year. The marketing was better online, so fans of Robin got the most recent updates, the service has improved with more staff, and the food quality, luckily, has stayed the same if not better. All these changes have made a difference and I've been back several times in the last 7 months and also, with friends. My go-to remains the lobster miso soup, Sushi A platter, Bruce or Alex rolls, and of course, the omakase. I'm not an omakase expert but I know what I like and don't like. I also understand what a great value is and Takesushi delivers on it. The $150 omakase is an absolute deal with 4 apps and 12 pieces + hand roll. Robin's selection of fish, his preparation with an emphasis on the quality, and the portion sizes cannot be beat. While some of the apps are on the more adventurous side for me, I'm willing to try them here b/c of the quality. Tonight, we had some rare treats most especially the rare white shrimp served two different ways and the best otoro/fatty tuna that tasted like seafood butter. Lastly, don't get me started on the Brazilian chocolate bon bon dessert (if it hasn't sold out), which my friends and I have argued should be eaten in 1-2 bites, NOT several mini bites. The texture and temperature consistency are mind blowing. I'm lucky to have Takesushi remain in the neighborhood and happy to see they're getting the hype they deserve. This place is a gem and applaud all the changes!

Fish was super fresh and mostly imported from Japan. They had a large variety of fish to choose from. I loved the presentation. Service was excellent. Cash only. Will definitely be back!

The food quality and service was disappointing. Sushi platter looked very different than photos on Yelp and Google. Ordered Sushi Platter B for dinner and I noticed uni wasn’t include which was different than what the menu stated. The waiter then said to me that they could switch the salmon roe for the uni if this was what I preferred. I was a bit intrigued the way they made it sounded like giving me uni was based on my preference. Anyways, the fish quality was below average and the presentation was sloppy. For the same price range there are better options in the neighborhood.
