Tai Ke Shabu Shabu

I've been here a few times now and the food has always been phenomenal. Best Asian food in Saint Louis if you ask me. The people are very kind too. Next door there's a cool Korean grocery store as well. Definitely missing out if you haven't been here

Our table had the pork belly buns, wood ear salad, bok choy, beef noodle soup, and three cup tofu. It was all delicious! I found everything to be perfectly seasoned and fresh from the kitchen. The three cup tofu had amazing flavor and texture — I will absolutely be ordering this again. The crunch of the bok choy was a perfect compliment. Fast and friendly service and a very reasonable price point. Highly recommend!

Majority of the dishes are amazing! We absolutely love coming here. Have purchased food from this restaurant at least a dozen times, probably more. I will say a couple of traditional Taiwanese dishes, like their beef noodle soup, miss the mark compared to what you’d get in the country of Taiwan. But don’t sell this place short! They have many other wonderful dishes and I recommend trying a few different things.

Great place, great food, great value. Service is quick food is authentic. I always feel like I get my money's worth.

Dude it's Taiwanese it's gonna be good. Their soups are the best for cold winter days.

The food was good. We got the Braised Beef Noodles, bao buns, and the three cup chicken and shared it. The braised beef noodles was the favorite. Really tender and flavorful. They gave us forks to eat with but I love eating with chopsticks, they make eating noodles so much easier to eat. I was struggling to eat the noodles with the fork and by the time I noticed other tables had chopsticks I was done. The bao buns were the second best. There is some powdered nut that dominates the flavor of the whole thing. The pork belly wasn't glazed enough to overcome it. The bottom of the bao bun was damp. I feel like this dish could be improved. The three cup chicken dish felt underwhelming. It's just tender chicken with a bit too much soy sauce based sauce covering it. It felt one-dimensional. The presentation was so cute though!!! Recommend: Beef noodle soup (with chopsticks) Maybe try: Bao buns Eh: Three cup chicken PLEASE GIVE EVERYONE THE OPTION OF CHOPSTICKS NEXT TIME!!!! <3 <3 I WILL BE BACK!!! <3

Hot pot is very bland, skip this place. We went for shabu shabu hot pot. We were pretty disappointed. Even the spicy broth was extremely bland. It literally seemed to be nearly plain water with no seasoning. The dipping sauce wasn't enough to save it. Definitely wasn't worth the price. They were also out of many add on ingredients.

I wanted to check them out after I accidentally tagged them when I was at a different Shabu restaurant. I ordered calamari stew which was more of a soup because it wasn't thick like a stew. I liked my son's spicy chitterlings with rice better than my stew. I saw other dishes customers were eating that looked pretty good. I would have to study the menu and make a better choice if I go back.

Taiwanese, not Chinese. Not like the Chinese dishes that we're used to having. Very good, just different. I've been there twice now.
