Tacos Zempoal Mixe Taco Stand

TLDR; Everything was great and I would happily come back here for lunch every day if I could. I was a bit skeptical on all of the reviews, so I ordered carne asada, al pastor, and chicken tacos. They were all so good I couldn't stop myself from eating the tacos before I could take a picture for them. I went back for an al pastor burrito with extra carne, no beans no cheese and it was amazing. I also ordered a strawberry agua fresca and daaaaamn just knockout after knockout with this place. Very few times have I ever not had ANY complaints about a taco stand. An INSTANT new favorite for me.

This place is the absolute BEST. I live less than a block from here and sometimes go 3 nights a week , in a row. Everyone I bring ends up coming back because they can’t stop thinking about it. Can’t recommend them enough.

An experience we will never forget! We were on a round trip on vacation and saw Tacos Zempoal Mixe at the crossroads on the way home in the evening. We have never eaten street food like this before. We wanted to try it and stopped spontaneously. It was immediately obvious that we were trying something like this for the first time. Everyone was very friendly and gave us great advice. Even the customers helped us to overcome language barriers. You could see, feel and even taste that they have been working here with heart and love, obviously for generations. Since this experience, we have eaten at taco stands and taco trucks almost every day. Back in Europe, we really miss this type of gastronomy.

i’ve passed this stand many times on the way to my friends house and finally decided to try it out. fantastic decision, it is a lovely stand with nice employees and delicious tacos. my girlfriend and I got al pastor tacos and loaded them up with all the fixings. they are cheap and delectable. i couldn’t recommend them more, great hidden gem.
