This place has been around for decades and the taste of their food has remained consistent. I know I can confidently order a carne asada burrito and enjoy it without biting into gristle or pieces of fat. I know some people like that or don't mind it but it ruins my dining experience. The service is always accurate, prompt, and polite. The parking can be challenging because of the location on a small but busy corner and the parking spaces are small but it doesn't stop me from going there. Their prices are fair.
We have some hits and some misses here. The Chile Relleno was pretty good, and the carne asada street taco was fair, while my husband was in love with the carnitas torta. Where our disappointment comes in, is with the staples. Let's start with the rice, it had a really 'off' taste and it was dry. The beans were just okay. The guacamole was more like an avocado salsa than guac. With all the competition out there, I am not confident this Mexican restaurant meets our expectations.
