Taco Taco Cafe

Website says they open at 7am - We arrived at 6:45 at 7 the owner said she didn’t open till 7:30 - We came back - She finally opened the door at 7:45 and said it was to go only! We traveled 8 hours and couldn’t wait to try it! Guess we will never know now! If you don’t have help - Then maybe they shouldn’t open! NOTE: She didn’t arrive till after we did! Maybe that’s another reason she’s behind!!

Can’t speak on the food as I couldn’t make it past the customer service. Called to place an order while looking in at the empty restaurant for the lady to answer “what do you need?” Asked to verify that I was calling the correct place just to be asked again “what do you need? Order to go or what?” Said never mind thank you and hung up. I’ve never felt the need to review a restaurant I’ve never tried but this was terrible. I’d understand if they were busy but there was not a single person inside.

I would NEVER eat here! I came to have lunch with my 2 children and once we were sat and had been given our drinks the owner Helen said I would rather you order something else and easy because I won’t know how to make the eggs. I didn’t understand she seemed either drunk or high and made me nervous as we were the only ones in the restaurant and she didn’t want to let us leave and gave me a bill for 5 dollars for the 2 drinks and I gave her a $20 bill and she said she doesn’t have any change and wanted to keep the whole $20. I told her how do you not have change how am I supposed to pay for the drinks? She ranted and raved and I had to call the police bc she wouldn’t let me leave. Helen Velesiotis is rude and mean and tried pushing my child in the stroller in a mean manner! I have never experienced anything like this before. The restraint is filthy, filthy mats, floors and looks nothing like years ago. Terrible experience. I had to call the cops because she threatens me and my children’s safety. We left the drinks there and waited for cops.

Idk how this place hasn't been shut down! But please stop giving this place y'all's business. It was my first time and last time going there. I called to complain and the lady, which I'm assuming is the owner said "I gave you four pieces of meats," WTH!! I told her I was going to write a review and she said for me to be nice. I responded back "I am nice and I like to support local businesses, but you can't go around ripping people off, it's not right! The first pic is what she gave me! I had to go buy another carne guisada to show you guys what a carne guisada taco should look like! Thanks to El Rafas for the good quality and what is expected in a carne guisada taco. The sign out front should be removed. The Taco, Taco Café is not the best tacos in town! As a born and raised in SA, I suggest going to El Rafas, Blanco Café, or the Donut Shop for good tacos or Mexican food. I should've read the reviews first I will be disputing with my bank for a refund. I had bought three tacos, the other two were bean and cheese. They were okay, but not worth the price. Bills are way better. I would rate it a zero star if I could!

To each there own. I didn't enjoy the food

Sadly this place is garbage! The service is absolutely horrible, you will wait 30 minutes for food (with no other customers in the store) that I wouldn't serve to my dog. If you order the $7 chips in queso, we got like five chips and a little bitty container of queso and we were never checked on through our entire meal. The food was flavorless like it had no seasoning whatsoever and the tacos look like they had maybe a spoonful of meat inside them. Definitely will not be back and I advise you to stay away.

Always love their breakfasts

We got there at 12:30 on Friday. The place smelled bad, they had one cook and one waiter. Waited 10 minutes to get a menu and another 10 minutes before the waitress tried to get our order. They were out of meat and only serving chicken. So, we just left
