Great space Taco Mac is a staple for bar food and great service

My first time in ATL and was able to spend time with family. We heard about this place by word of mouth and just wanted to try something different from what we are used to back at home. Was bummed they sold out of hamburger buns, so we didn’t get to try their burger. This place was Affordable, had Great service, and great food. The fish and chips was meaty and crispy, the Parmesan chicken was tender and flavorful. My kids got the boneless wings and fries and they cleaned their plates off, lol. Must try the Brussels sprouts, best I’ve had by far. Definitely a must try for all groups, family night out, date night, ladies night, fellas night out…

Usually this taco Mac is not as good the one in Canton or McDonough. Definitely not as good food wise as the one in Stockbridge before they were bought out. TBH I am a taco mac fan. I like the chicken wings and beer and actually had a good time with decent wings at metropolis a few weeks ago. Also I typically only remember to write great or horrible reviews. My wife reminded me of how bad of a time we had last night. We left the vortex after a comedy show and we had a group of about 8. The staff was pleasant we were seated in a few minutes and we were off to a great start. Ruth was especially kind but one of the server’s accidentally tripped and spilled about 5 ice water glasses on my wife’s friend and it was all over her hair clothes purse phone etc. Water was everywhere. She was given a shirt and a simple mistake turned ugly quickly. The manager listened but had an attitude that infuriated some of the group. He took awhile to respond and when he did he wasn’t rude but wasn’t pleasant or really trying to make the situation positive. I think he had just had a long night and having to deal with a clumsy server was aggravating to him. Even though I had a vortex burger I was disappointed that I couldn’t get wings lol. So we left and went to Hudson grille across the street had a good time. I was thankful because it was so late at night around 10. I will still probably visit this taco mac just not with a large group on a random weeknight. Update 3/25/24. Apparently the manager gave my wife gift cards to return the next month and she didn’t tell me. We went to a Taco Mac in McDonough and the manager said the cards were not activated. So the metropolis manager gave us 6 gift cards and pretended like he cared about our horrible experience. I called them and left my email and phone number a general manager was out and I left a message. No response within a month. What a shame I used to like this place. I can’t support such horrible management practices. Three dollar cafe for me now! I used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings then taco Mac was my favorite for years. New favorite three dollar cafe!!

I rarely ever do negative reviews as I know within the food service industry it can be hard sometimes. However, this was the worst experience ever. My girlfriend and I went to this taco Mac to eat and we arrived around 10:15pm we never got our food and it was literally midnight when we left. Our waitress was horrible isn’t even care. I had to say something to her to get her to notice we have no food. The lack of communication and respect is unreal here. I will never go back or visit Taco Mac ever again. We wasted over 2 hours there’s and never got food. I tried to be patient I really did cause I wanted my girlfriend to experience good food but the service was just horrible. Please do better cause you have lost two guest for life in 1 night.

Cynthia greeted me with a smile and welcomed me in as soon as I opened the door. GREAT service from the moment I entered the building. Jah gave us AWESOME service. It's St Patty's day, huge crowd and she still took great care of us. She didn't sweat the traffic and her personality shines through. THANK YOUS all around!!

Horrible ! ! The place is understaffed mismanaged dishes come out wrong completely I ordered some wings burgers and a hot dogs and everything was bland We ate nothing and left. Will not be coming back the waitress was in severe shortage of helping hands and left to be cursed by clients for mistakes not her own I do not recommend .

I mean I honestly don’t know where to start. This was more of a SNL skit than an actual dining experience. Nothing about this place suggests that it is intending to be a serious restaurant operation. In no world could it be this bad unless the company from the top has completely lost touch with any sort of service-oriented culture. It’s clear from the lack of responses to these reviews that no one at Taco Mac is reading these and perhaps they’ve reached a level of success to where they just don’t care to take pride in their restaurants. That’s a shame.

Took 15 minutes to get our drink order when we arrived, it was two of us. We ordered wings that took over 30 minutes to come out and we ended up just asking for a to-go box. We ate a couple wings real quick at the restaurant before taking off. The wings were grisly and soggy. There were far too many ligaments and connective tissue in the wings. Not sure if we got a good batch, but the wings were terrible, the only way they were award winning is being the worst wings in atlanta. The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good though, which turned out to be the only thing that was delivered promptly.
