In the area and looking for Tex Mex food I’m glad my family and I stopped at this restaurant. Food was fresh and flavorful, environment was kid friendly, and service was friendly. I’d come here more often if librar by but will surely be back if in the area again.
I enjoyed my dinner. The hard shell taco was my favorite. They have good salsa too
Great taco place. I used to live in Cocoa Beach and would eat here all the time but I’ve since moved back to Charleston SC and every time we visit FL we always make the drive to Taco City They fry their hard shells for the tacos and it gives them a unique shape. All the food is delicious. Walk in, pick your seat, then when you’re ready to order walk up to the counter. Easy peasy. They sell hats and tee shirts as well.
Definitely would not have spent $57 on 2 nachos grande, Ranchero and funnel fries. Their online prices are incorrect and the food looks horrible, this is the to go nachos. Chips are hard from being microwaved..do not recommend
First of all the home made salsa is fantastic, very flavorful! The tacos are very good, I highly recommend the pork carnitas tacos they taste great and are loaded to the brim! Two taco combo also comes with rice and refreid beans with cheese, so its a very filling meal. Great service and nice atmosphere to match!
Should have been a tip-off when no one came to the table. Upon inquiry after waiting awhile, they shared it was a quick-service restaurant and you had to go to the cash register to order (note this is not a counter operation, you order from a menu, after you obtain a menu and go back to your table). The couple a table over was getting their meal as we went to order. By the time our chips, salsa, cheese dip, and drinks came out, they were leaving - thought it must have been good and they devoured it. They were out of refried beans, the cheese dip was off the Velveeta recipe with Rotel - not queso - and was served with a basket of chip chips - only five full chips in the basket. The "Macho" was a flour tortilla filled with ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning and black beans and white rice and drenched in a bad canned chili sauce. My wife enjoyed her fish tacos, so there is that. Must survive on tourist trade of one-time visits. By the way, my wife said the other couple had left their plates pretty full as I did. Maybe the pay as you order system doesn't encourage much care as they already have your money, but that is the last of mine they will see.
Best place ever if you can get in and if they don't run out of tacos.
Food was ok, they had just opened when we arrived. I was expecting it to be fresher. The lettuce was brown and they are skimpy on the shrimp. I got a jalapeño shrimp wrap with like 5 shrimp in it and a pound of lettuce. My husbands pulled pork burrito looked like soup. Wouldn’t recommend!
You can't go wrong with this place. Simple ,fast and good. Well liked with the locals and military less then a mile away. Guess that's why it's still there!!!!
