Been coming to this place for years but today was the final reminder of other places being better. Pre-pandemic, it was fantastic and we would come every month at least. Post-pandemic, everything except for the chips and guac have become worse in quality. Not worth it anymore. Came in to buy dinner for my family, two 2 taco combo platters, and some chips and guac for our daughter. I asked the Cashier how many salsas came with each platter and she stated one for each. So I asked if I could pay for extras, to which she said no it’s okay, we’ll give you two extras. I got my order pretty speedily, but when we got home and opened the bag, there was not a single salsa for either of our platters. And to boot, the lime pieces we got were so tiny, we literally had to cut up some limes when we got home. The tacos were super dry without the salsa so we just ended up not being able to eat most of our food. The chips and guac were great though thankfully. The place wasn’t packed and they weren’t busy, but somehow were so distracted that they didn’t give us salsas. The horchatas are also way smaller in size than they use to be, and they load it up with ice. They should’ve never changed this place. There’s no sides bar anymore either, they just really skimp out on the toppings now. Save your money, go somewhere else. This place isn’t worth the money or drive. There’s plenty of great taco spots in the DMV, this place just isn’t one of them.
Excellent locally sourced and crafted burritos, burrito bowls and tacos - fresh, delicious, inexpensive, thoroughly ethnic and authentic with well-spaced, extra-casual outdoor dining available for self-seating. Parking: It's a very popular and busy place with limited space for parking, but it's always doable if you don't mind sometimes parking slightly farther away.
