Went in and saw they were selling “Israeli Salad” it was literally fatoosh what on ethnic cleansing. Even in Israel they call the salad Arab salad. Calling it a Mediterranean restaurant but it’s just arab food with arab names.
Certainly the most expensive falafel I've ever had! of course this is the Village, so the rent is obscene. And the falafel was mediocre. They seem to make their falafel in advance as mine was lukewarm. And greasy. Not a great recipe. Tehina sauce was not citrusy at all. And not a well stuffed pita for the price. Served with overcooked homemade potato chips that lacked flavor (the chips get 2 stars). Maybe their other dishes are better. Very quick service, but the place was almost empty. Decent music, but played too loud.
It’s a small place and we had to seat with other parties but the food was really good with good price. So affordable!
Great food, prices, quality for the area. Love that the sandwiches come with a side of seasoned chips. Plenty of veggie options too, which makes it even better (for me). It's becoming one of my go-tos for the Union Square area.
The food tasted alright, but I was a little annoyed with the portioning, my friend and I both ordered salmon, yet their portion was twice as big as mine. Service was a little lacking too.
Have lived in the area for 15 years and this place has always been delicious and a favorite to grab lunch. Some of these “reviews” are clearly the watermelon mafia and it’s a shame they’re going after innocent businesses.
