Great old fashioned. But the bar close at 10:30
Cozy, quiet and safe. The restaurant serves generous portions of fantastic meals. Convenient location.
Even though considered 'vintage', I'd rather call it 'a bit worn out'. Nice atmosphere, but a lot of things in the rooms need replacement or restoration. Windows need cleaning. And prices are not in correspondence with received quality (hotel and restaurant). Though the restaurant was definitely okay. And something they cannot do a lot about: very noisy nightly neighborhood
This was a wonderful hotel with lots of character. Rooms: Lovely decor, spacious bathroom. The mattress was about as soft as a plank of wood. Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and close enough to the metro to make exploring the city very convenient. Walkability: Close to Dupont Circle and the metro.
My husband and I took my family here and it was simply impressive. Gigi was our server and she was so gracious and didn't miss a beat. The atmosphere and service were warm and inviting and the food was beyond incredible. WOW!
Let me clarify that this dinner experience was an affair my entire family enjoyed emsensly and will never forget. All employees join in service to all who walk through their doors. They look to please, with style, offer new and exciting to your taste buds flavors like never before. A champagne blush Pinot noir, to die for, dessert squares grape & Carmel. It was just over the top. Do Not miss this place for a meal when you visit DC. Our next visit, we will be lodging here. Many thanks to the entire staff. You all have a gem here. Keep up the hard work!
