Sweets Laboratory by Hanamizuki

We saw this place on Instagram reels and decided to come on a whim, and we were glad! It's very pink and influencer core inside, but when we came it was fairly empty. The vibes are lovely, with cute decorations such as neon lights and candles. We split a Speak it into Fruition parfait but be warned that if you're in group of 3, everyone needs to order something. This was probably the yummiest dessert I've had in New York City so far! It's very sweet but the combo of delicious whipped cream, fruits, oreos, cake, and ice cream was unlike anything i've had before. It is a bit too sweet, so splitting is the move! This is the kind of place that doesn't need a waiter yet there is one anyway, but you need to get his attention every time you need to order or pay. I would recommend going if you can!

Great place to stop for some unique deserts. I had the banana shaved ice desert . The shaved ice and chocolate combination was great. I also had a Macha tea which was excellent. I will be back.

We tried She’s a cu-tea with milk tea pudding and chocolate ice cream parfait. I don’t know how many million calories but all so good.

Great dessert spot! The banana mania snow sundae was good, albeit a little on the pricey side. The croffle, on the other hand, was *excellent*, especially as a warm treat on a cold winter's day. It came with some peaches and honey on the side, and some whipped cream cheese on top that took it to the next level.

Best bingsu I've had in the city, very fluffy with zero grainy ice crystals. I'd prefer a more cakey/biscuity accompaniment rather than the fruit jelly they serve it with, but that may be a personal thing.

We got the She's a cu-Tea Queen Snow and the chamomile lavender hot tea. The Queen snow was extremely underwhelming, in which the shaved ice were incredibly sweet and the toppings felt extremely simple, which didn't enhance the dessert by much. For such a pretty dessert, I felt like it wouldn't have taken much effort to make it so much better for what it costs. The fruits were tiny and the toppings didn't compliment the shaved ice, it only overlapped with each other's sweetness, so maybe adding other flavor profiles and textures like different kind of nuts (I.e., sliced almonds, pistachio, etcetera) would make it more interesting and tasty. This goes for just the earl grey queen snow for I can't say about the other types since I haven't tried it. No matter what, DO NOT get the chamomile lavender tea, for it tasted like neither, making it a very weird and unpleasant drink to consume. Maybe some of their other selections are better, so definitely steer clear away from these two if you decide to give them a try! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

This spot is sooo cute! We were looking for a good dessert place near Penn Station and this gem is located on 29th St. We ordered caramel macchiatos, banana mania, and a croffle. Presentation is 10/10 and it was so delicious. If you have a time to kill before catching your train I highly recommend stopping by here for a sweet treat.
