My kids deride me as a "coffee snob," but I like to consider myself an aficionado. First, let me preface by saying I don't drink 'coffee' - only espresso - and as true aficionados know, a good coffee house is one where the espresso has primacy. I live in Manhattan, but make the trip to Sweetleaf in Greenpoint every time I pass through Brooklyn because it is that good. I confess that sometimes I make an excuse to go to Brooklyn just to visit Sweetleaf because it is that good. The quality of the espresso here is outstanding - selected by the owner Rich who literally travels the world to identify and select the best beans available for his business. The team, led by the charming and debonair barista Christian, is knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. They create a chill vibe that enhances an already chill atmosphere in a comfortable, relaxing setting. To say I highly recommend Sweetleaf is an understatement!

Went based on recommendation in the New York City Cafe Passport. Lovely cups of coffee. We got an americano, pumpkin latte, maple latte, and their rocket fuel hot coffee. They were bold, full body, and tasty. They roast on premise, homemade syrups, and decaf options. Definitely worth checking out and/or going out of your way to visit. Tons of seating for chatting with your friends, reading, or working.

I’m officially annoyed with ny & the fact that cafes have to charge so much but give so little in return due to their high rent prices. I got the vegan blt & it’s not worth the price. Two Tiny little pieces of vegan bacon with a bunch of lettuce :(

Nous avons pris des cookies, une part de gâteau, un brownie et un petit cake aux noix, Les boissons sont très bonnes aussi, j’ai pris un Pumpkin Spice Latte, L’endroit est très calme et très bien aménagé,

Really loved this coffee shop!! I love how big and open it is. They roast their own beans in house, which elevates their drinks even more. The space is airy and bright, perfect for catching up with a friend or doing work. Their coffee bar is a perfect spot to sit and people watch too.

Best coffee in Greenpoint. I always get the Rocket Fuel and the egg sandwich, it’s a weekly treat that I look forward to. So freaking good. This is a good place to get some work done, though you may be sharing a couch or table with someone. Bring noise cancelling headphones as well if you want to hear your thoughts, sometimes the music is doing a whole lot.

Coffee was great and the sandwiches are really great for that price.
