Their food is amazing. Please make one in OKC.
The store atmosphere is great, it's pretty chill, although the music is rather loud, and adds to the noise during peak hours, making group work hard to do. Appears to me that the employees take turns on the aux when the owner(s) aren't there. Baristas can't stick to the recipes. On several occasions, I've ordered the exact same coffee drink, and get a different taste every time. Sometimes crunchy sweet on the bottom, sometimes not hardly any flavor at all. No offense, but you're better off with a canned soda drink they sell or espresso. It's what I get when I visit. I gave up on their consistency. Another plus, the baked goods are delicious! And when you're done, meaty cockroaches scurry around, ready to gobble up the niblets you leave behind. I've managed iHops with felons and they take better care of their work environment. One last thing, they now pass out 2-hour "wifi tickets". It's obviously a business ran by underpaid college students (they have fresh staff every 6 months or so), and the owner(s) have become stingy, and obviously more focused on profit over the people they serve, tainting what it means to be "Aggie Owned!" Parking: Parking is out front, and a few spots on the side. Get there when it's slow because it's hard to find parking during peak hours (during the semester in the early evening and lunchtime.) You're greeted with a "PARKING IS FOR SWEET EUGENE'S CUSTOMERS - NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED" sign the moment you reach the door. How welcoming.
HEAR me when I say -- the wi-fi availability in this place is what kept me coming back here almost daily, and even getting drinks. I've been coming here regularly for the past few months, and I knew the place was too good to be true. Aaron, the manager, really seemed like a stand-up guy, so the two-hour limitation on Wi-Fi just feels so out of character. This felt like a nice place we could really relax in, and now it feels fake. Such a shame. Me and my friends have to find a new cafe now, because the whole 'buying something new every two hours' feels like a cheap market strategy in a place that seemed to march against that trend at every turn. If you're looking for hot tea and a vibe, just go to Starbucks.
Really cool spot to read or do some work while drinking coffee. The coffee is okay but I think they grind the beans too fine because there is a burnt after taste at the end. The desserts look really good.
A relaxing place for coffee and a snack.
