Great breakfast place! Very friendly waitress and excellent food. Cinnamon toast a must
We attempted to have a birthday breakfast today but were treated with scorn because we had children with us. We were never told that they don’t allow children. We didn’t see the signs on the door because someone held the door for us. After we were seated and felt uncomfortable because of the attitude of the hostess we decided to go next door to First Watch where we were treated like treasured guests. I will never step foot into Sweet Bean Cafe.
I really love the vibe here and the cinnamon bread/toast is to die for!
I've been here several times over the past year. Hands down best service in the area. Everyone is super accommodating and nice. Extremely competent staff. The food is always fresh. Price and portions are a steal. Can't wait to be back. Ask for Summer, she is the best.
Cozy atmosphere…. Got eyerolled by a down looking arrogant barista. No non diary hot drinks here … cold almond milk is all they serve apparently! Safe yourself a trip - not worth it! After reading other reviews the attitude of owner/employees needs some obvious adjustment!
The “not so sweet bean” Cafe! I used to go into this cute spot with my toddler after her play dates and everyone was always so nice. So I had no hesitation in choosing this restaurant when my girlfriends wanted to have a ladies brunch for my birthday. None of them had been there before and I kept raving about how cute it was and how great the food was. My mom also passed away a few weeks ago so I was feeling down, but they all convinced me to come out and spend time together. When I arrived , one of my friends was already waiting with her baby inside, and she looked frazzled. I didn’t realize that the hostess had been rude to her about saving the table for the rest of us who are only running about five or 10 minutes behind because the parking lot is so crowded and it takes time to find a spot. When my other friend arrived with her baby, The hostess didn’t even say hi-she just looked at her annoyed and asked her to take her stroller back to the car! We sat down and ordered some drinks, and then one of the babies started crying a little bit. A waitress literally came over and said “the manager is not gonna tolerate that.” Of course we had to get up and leave. We weren’t gonna let my one friend leave because her baby was crying so we had to go next door to first watch. I can’t even describe the level of unprofessionalism that everyone who worked there today had with us! getting treated like you’re a criminal because you have a sweet baby with you. And anyone who has agrees with this type of treatment is gross. I have to tell you! I was so embarrassed because that place was my idea and I had never had a bad experience there before. I hate to have to leave these type of reviews because I understand that this is someone’s livelihood, but this is unacceptable and it’s discriminatory! We never really have any opportunity to go out and eat anything and when we do this is how we get treated. I’m honestly so disgusted. I have the sweetest and kindest group of friends too and I felt terrible that they were treated like losers from the moment they walked through the door. I also had my baby with me by the way and she’s only nine months old but I think I deserve to have a nice brunch too sometimes. I didn’t realize that having a baby with you means you get treated like a criminal. literally, like it’s a crime to have a baby with you! That’s how it felt I didn’t realize all this time that there was a sign on the door basically telling people that they’re not kid friendly, but they need to put that on posterboard and make it a lot bigger because it’s easy to miss! I would have never suggested that place if I would’ve seen anything like that. Long story short… Do not go to this restaurant if you have small children with you!
