This is an expensive place to eat. I was charged extra for cheese and chips. The restaurant was quiet. The food on line was hot. The workers let me build my own taco bowl. I recommend the food you see. This is my second visit. The food from the kitchen was not cooked well last time. Parking: This venue is by La Maison Antiques and shares parking with the store.
My family and I stopped to grab lunch while we were in town. I ordered a quesadilla with fajita chicken. I bit into the chicken and it felt and tasted funny. Realized that it was completely raw on the inside. I have never been served raw chicken before. Needless to say I lost my appetite and will never eat at this establishment again. Thankful my kids didn't get chicken.
Really good burritos. Highly recommended. Extremely friendly staff for lunch.
Make sure to ask for LaTavia she's really good at her job
No greeting from staff, no thank you. Salad was not edible. It looked like a dog’s breakfast. Lettuce was wet and yellow. If you own this establishment I suggest you make some changes. IMMEDIATELY.
Had dinner with an old coworker and was pleasantly surprised! Great costumer service and the food was pretty decent too. She had the Fish Tacos, I had Chicken Enchiladas, and we both shared Chips, Queso, & Pico De Gallo. Drinks were just "ok" but the staff was much younger than we were and I used to be in the bar industry back in California many moons ago so my standards are on a different level. They did well with what they knew. Prices are decent. If in the area, I'd go again. I did almost get lost though. The signage wasn't lit and it was getting dark so it was a little difficult finding the restaurant. PLUS, there's another Swanky's location on the same road (Poplar Ave) in the Memphis area so if you're not careful, you might end up on the wrong side of town about 15 minutes away! All in all ... we both had no regrets.
