This is the only restaurant I have seen that has tables and benches setup where you have to fold your legs and sit like in a traditional way. The food is good, especially paratha-shak. The service was pretty quick. A good find for a pure vegetarian Indian restaurant in Austin. Vegetarian options: Pakoras, Paratha thali
Ordered Gobi Manchurian on 11/5. It is the worst ever I had eaten. The cauliflower was completely uncooked. Even the covering on the top was not cooked as well. Don’t know how one would cook (or no cooking) it this way.
Food was very average. Most of the items like Manchurian & desserts were not available when we visited. Ordered mysore masala dosa which was very sour and felt like it was made with old batter.
Chola bhatura had zero chola, just plain curry, no salt, no taste. More than half buatura was uncooked raw all-purpose flour dough. We asked for ketchup, we were given watery runny tasteless red syrup in a disposable cup. Extremely unhygienic, under cooked tasteless food. Lost us as customers forever.
Best place for indian and vegetarian food but owner will trick you in your bills. Always cross check prices.
Ate at the restaurant while visiting Austin. Tried South Indian dishes and their thali. South Indian dishes were below average, North Indian thali was good. They are trying to offer a lot on their menu, but it looks like only their North Indian offering is worth visiting.
It’s a great variety vegetarian food restaurants. I request that they use less sugars and more spices like red chilly powder instead of green chilies. Extra Sugar is harmful and not healthy.
Highly recommend. Right on I35.
The shaks are really good and always worth getting here (4 pooris, or 2 parathas or 2 naans along with 2 curries and a dal). Visited twice, and the taste was consistently good both times.
