Restaurant stank like sewage. Service was strange. Will be sticking to the Lincoln heights location

Man… I had to come back here to review after a few years… it was far from the great place we once loved… This use to be me and my daughter’s favorite spot. The food was ok. Lots of the sauces weren’t as great as they were, the salad wasn’t bomb like it use to be… and it smelt so bad in the restaurant, like a bad sewage problem. We won’t be returning. Although our sever was very sweet and great… it’s not as great of a place as it once was.

It was my birthday & my 3 sisters took me here. It was really great food with great service.

Sushi Zushi use to be my go to for sushi for years.. in fact it’s the first place I ever tried sushi. The last few times we have placed orders to-go have been very, very disappointing. We get there ahead of the order being ready or within minutes and the food is room temperature. The Cosimo roll is literally the only thing I order and why I keep coming back but my last order it was spicy, spicy that I was coughing while I was eating. It was a Friday night and waited all day for dinner only to get home and let down. I did call them and they said we would have a credit but how on earth can you credit me without getting our number or names? The online menu doesn’t have pictures for everything which makes it hard to know what you’re getting for sure, no indication of the spice level either. Also, can’t say how many times I’ve eaten shrimp tails that get left inside rolls. Just beware that since Covid this location has gone downhill. I would recommend eating there since to-go food is definitely not it.

My second time there and the service wasn't as good as the first time I went. Which was a little disappointing. However, the Lir role was delicious as well as the appetizer

Not the same sushi zushi from the last time we visited. It has been awhile but we kept being told they didn't have,no longer carried or didn't serve items at that time even though it didn't mention not serving certain dishes for dinner on the menu. Prices have gone up as well almost $2 extra per sushi. Where you would usually have a table set with soy sauce sweetener and chopsticks you had to ask for everything. We asked for our ticket so we could pay, the waiter just looked at an electronic device and told us it was $135 we have no way of knowing if that was correct or not. We were sat close to the bar even though we had small children the people at the bar were obviously drunk and yelling profanities. I don't see us returning food was okay but not great same with the service. As far as atmosphere there doesn't appear to be any up keep and it's looking run down.
