Food is good! Especially the spicy crab roll. Prices are a little high.
This is a small store located in a strip mall and has a Chinese restaurant two doors down. I almost missed the place. We stopped on a Saturday evening around 6:30 but it was not busy. The chef behind the counter was very friendly. We ordered a sashimi for two and a some kind of roll, plus sake. This is the first time I can remember having sake. It was a weak alcohol with little flavor, beer or wine would taste better. The food was ok, nothing special and didn't have much to comment. Maybe a noodle soup fits my taste better.
Tried it for Ramen and it was quite lackluster. The noodles were okay but the broth had no depth and was just a watery broth, not bone broth for sure. We had the Miso and Tonkotsu Ramen. The meat - pork - was tough and not the usual tender smoked meat, just pieces of cooked pork. The egg was cold. Meh at best.
Clean area. Prompt and attentive service. Vegetable hibachi was good however the sushi lacked flavor.
We've eaten here many times, mostly for lunch, but dinner too. We really liked this place, but now that they are not open for lunch anymore, I'm not sure we will be rushing over there. Prices are high for dinner, and the experience just doesn't match the cost anymore. They are a nice family and maybe they are struggling with business, but this restaurant no longer fits our lifestyle. The good news is, there are several other good options in the area. Best of luck SM.
Sushi was excellent and very fresh but the quantity on sashimi was a little on the smaller side. The curry was good but lacked a little bit of flavor. Everything else was great. Overall the service was great and the environment was enjoyable!
