Sushi By Bou - Times Square

Been several times over a long period of time. Used to be great. The servings of fish on each bed of rice are now infinitesimal. Seems all good things must come to an end.

I’ve never been to a less authentic omakase. This is my first 1 star review, it was very disappointing. This place is run by people who know nothing about the art and craft of great sushi making. All they do is throwing in what they think the right ingredients are and treating the experience like fast sushi. They only care about money and flipping tables, to the point where sushi pieces will pile up on your plate. We were rushed to wrap up in under 30 mins. There’s no interaction with the chef. The rice is not great and the sushi falls apart immediately. The quality is only slightly better than Whole Foods sushi with fancier ingredients.

Food is good, but we felt rushed to have to eat a 12-piece meal in 30 minutes. We could have used an extra 30 minutes, at least. 175 USD is quite expensive for a 30-minute meal you don't have time to appreciate ...

While some dishes like the Botan Ebi (7/10) and Wagyuri (7.5/10) scored lower than the others scored, the overall dining experience was undoubtedly one to savor. Sushi by Bou is definitely a place to visit carved its place as a destination for those seeking a culinary adventure in the world of sushi. In summary, Sushi by Bou offers a commendable blend of quality, service, and a diverse sushi selection that makes it a noteworthy spot for any sushi enthusiast. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their culinary offerings.

Really great experience the drinks were amazing and the staff was really nice I would definitely recommend the chef was professional and gave us information about what flavors we were going to be tasting and it made the experience so much more enjoyable!

Just a great omakase experience all around, and in such a cool, intimate space. Fish is incredibly fresh, rice is well prepared, and staff is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Cocktails are delicious and they do have non-A options. And the price is not bad for the quality! Hard to beat in the Times Square area.
