Each bite was FABULOUS!! I’d be very excited to eat here again. The only reason for the 4 stars: - Unfortunately there weren’t water refills until I asked for more water after drinking all my water and my husband’s water too (almost refilled myself since I knew the water refill was outside the entrance) - We were charged extra for a drink modification. No mention of it upon order which was a little disappointing - They were late to seat us for our reservation, but they did bring us sake shots which was a pleasant surprise! - My husband got the sake flight (each was better than the last!) but unfortunately timing was a little off - he didn’t get his last flight until we got (12/12) our last bite

Food quality was average. Service extremely rushed since the first service ran over by 40 minutes. We appreciated that they offered offered us a free cocktail, but mine was just a spirit and citrus bomb that was unbalanced. Did the 17 courses. Overall it was OK but we won't be back. Lots of other omakase options.

This place has sadly gone downhill. I’ve been to this location a few times before and used to recommend it to those who have never had omakase before but I won’t be returning or recommending it. Firstly, I get that this is omakase for maybe 1/4 of the usual price but even so, I don’t believe it is worth it. There are so many similarly affordable omakase options in NYC with incredible sushi, really no comparison to my recent dinner at sushi by bou. Firstly, the size of the nigiri pieces are laughably small, such an unsatisfying mouthful. Appreciate you want to get the right ratios but even adding just a little more rice would be nice. Since it’s such a low cost, high margin ingredient, unsure why they’ve also decided to skimp on the rice too. I do appreciate the vibe is different to typical omakase. The music, dim lights and service does make it uniquely fun and a great date night spot. But unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the sushi. They have obviously tried to get as many seatings in per night as possible to make up for the lower prices but it’s negatively impacting the experience. They email you to remind you not to be late and they run 30 mins late to seat you and quickly rush you off afterwards. It has a cheap and tacky vibe, definitely catered to people who have never tried omakase or simple and fresh nigiri sushi before.

You really get what you pay for. Sure the ambiance is so chic and the service is decent but the food is just so disappointing. The portions here are tiny. And by that I mean each bite is about a bit more than 1/3 of its normal size. With such small portions, you would expect the quality of the ingredients to be good at least. Sadly, this was not the case. I was already put off by the intense fishy taste that not fresh seafood would have from the first bite and it did not get better. I had to keep eating pickled ginger to cleanse my palate and help with the horrible taste. There was also a bone in my fish, which is something that had never happened to me at any regular sushi restaurant. This is unacceptable for an omakase. A good omakase is worth the splurge. With this price point, you are better off going to a sushi restaurant.

Cool chill vibes, good sushi, and awesome bartender and service. A fun change up if you're in the mood for omakase but want a more relaxed atmosphere than the usual Dietary restrictions: Sushi chef very accommodating

It used to be $50 but now it’s $60. It’s still a good bargain for omakase whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned veteran. It’s located in a hotel, close to that Sushi Suite to be exact. It was a little difficult to find but we found it. Once inside it’s very laid back. They serve you all of the pieces in 60 mins. Although I would have gone for that $100 option just to see what else they have. I noticed not too many people posted pictures of their experiences on here. I’ll post some from my past experience just to give people an idea. Some of the pieces might be the same.

Perfect dinner for four! All the dishes were fresh and nicely plated. The service was attentive, the atmosphere is intimate. Perfect for a couple or two couples. We booked The experience (17 dishes), would do it again!
