Sushi Ato

My husband and I eat here somewhat frequently- we live in the neighborhood. Went last night- food came out fine and tasted good. However we had several pieces of sushi and saki - husband has a bite in his mouth- and the waitress asks us if we’re ready for a box. I understand they close at 9 but I have never had an experience of being pushed out while still eating. So, $140 later we had to box 1/4 of our dinner and walk through a closed restaurant as if it were 45-min past closing. Except it was 9:04. Awful way to end a dinner date. Be warned: when they say they close at 9 it means the entire staff is off at basically 9- you better be done eating by 8:50

Unfortunately, what used to be my go to place has fallen. The spicy tuna was so chopped up to be unrecognizable, like baby food. The sushi fish itself was tasty, but cut much too big per piece. They should cut it normal size and charge less. The fried snapper appetizer was tasty, but drowning in sauce.

The food tasted great, presentation was great. I woke up around 1am after eating dinner here with severe stomach pains and soon after, much more. I didn't think it was the restaurant at first, but I gave my dog the (rinsed, cooked fish) scraps before going to bed and he became sick in the morning. Disappointing. The menu said it was "sushi grade salmon filet" that they then cooked and coated in cashews. I wonder if they just grab the oldest fillet for the dish?

I'm not a sushi person, but I think this place just changed me. Came here because our friends wanted ramen and glad we tried their sushi. I am a big fan of soju, and they had so many flavors that it was hard to pick just one! I chose the mango, and it was so amazing. It's so sweet that you can't taste the alcohol at all. One bottle is enough to share with another person because the alcohol content is a lot. All our meals came with miso soup, it was so good. It was not too hot, and I loved the tofu pieces. I got the yakisoba ramen because the beef sounded good. It's a lot of food and I couldn't finish it but it was packed with flavor. I tried the sushi my boyfriend picked out and they were all very good! It didn't taste like they used imitation crab. All of the food was beyond what I imagined, and I'd love to try more of their sushi.
