My second visit to funnyboyz and you did not disappoint, wonderful afternoon, great atmosphere, delicious food and brilliant entertainment and I won the bingo and spin the wheel, best place I've been to in ages and booked again next week for NHS annual brunch Parking: I'm disabled and parked outside with blue badge and building very ♿
Tickets say 6.30pm with last doors at 6.45pm. Tickets didn’t get scanned on the way in and there wasn’t one of those lights on our table for when you want assistance like the other tables had. Sat waiting till gone 8pm with loud music blaring a playlist which featured Baby Shark and WAP, so loud we could barely hear each other, waiting for the show to start. Was put on a table at the back with a massive column blocking our view of the stage. As people were walking in, a drag queen made a joke about consent, which is really disappointing. It seems okay for hen parties who want to binge drink. We left shortly after with banging headaches.
Came here a few nights ago for my birthday. The funnyboyz were on , who were brilliant entertainment, never laughed sooooo much. And the benidorm bingo was hilarious. The staff were brilliant . And the food wasn't bad. The only thing I would say is that the drinks at the bar are very limited. I drink Rose zinfandel, which they never had, and the rose wine I did buy was like vinegar . And they didn't have plain gin, just had orange or lemon gin. There were 6 of us & no one got a drink that they normally drink. So that wasn't great. And when we booked we were asked if we wanted to do the drinks package at £35 per person for 90 minutes, which I'm sooooo glad we didn't get. If I was to go again I would have to find out what drinks they have in stock. I haven't experienced that to any venue I have been to. That's the only thing , other than that we had a good night.
The food was quick but luke warm, chicken was dry and the roast potatoes where soft like they where only boiled and not roasted, the Yorkshire pudding was tiny shop bought cheap and it was swimming in gravy it might as well of been a tasteless stew with no body it was a small portion. The service was very stern, I felt like I had done something worng it was very uncomfortable. I was really hoping that the desert would redeem the main..... I got worse! I ordered a ice cream Sunday and basically received a poor quality ice cream which was basically Iceland cheap ice cream more ice than cream I was portioned 2 very small scoops with a stale wafer and the smallest amount of wizzy cream. Never mind the bad experience at the bar and terrible entertainment, its the worst experience i have ever had, just dont go, the perfect word for this place would be diabolical! A complete rip off for your money, even with a voucher, they are lying on wowcher when they say how much the meal did cost they claim it cost £65 in fact we took our daughter and paid full price and they charged us £30. Which is still very expensive for what you get. I was not happy.
We came here for the FunnyBoyz drag event for a hen night (2 hens getting married!). We paid £500 for the table collectively and unfortunately didn't get what we expected. The table wasn't clean and had no decorations (we paid for balloons & decs). We waited for 30 minutes but no one came to check on us (we did inform staff who said someone would come soon but no one did) so we didn't know how to get our pre-paid drinks. The staff seemed over-worked and exhausted and were contradictory about whether we could get a refund. In the end we left, was a shame! (Posted review to supper club page as seemed to be the venue at fault not the drag performers)
Had a private party here on 28th May and couldn't fault it. Food was excellent, staff couldn't do enough to make it an evening to remember
Great night and atmosphere unfortunately no real ale just larger cider and Guinness
Amazing place good service good food . Only unsettling issue was someone coming out in kitchen uniform and doing what seemed to be drug deals . This made me and my wife very uncomfortable during the night .
