Definitely not 3007 Logan, in front of location nothing!!!, , but a fidelity lodge #10???

To be honest, I had reservations when I discovered it was a house and not a traditional business building. As a non-local seeking good soul food, the reviews played a crucial role in my decision to place an order. Let me tell you, the food was incredibly delicious and impeccably seasoned! The yams struck the perfect balance of sweetness and tenderness. My kids devoured the tenders, and even my discerning daughter, a tough food critic, praised the Lemon Pepper tenders as really good and plentiful. The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and downright delightful. The greens were expertly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed my wings. Special thanks for the hot sauce, which elevated the entire experience. I genuinely wish I lived here because I would undoubtedly be a regular. However, this turned out to be my final meal before leaving town.

Best soul food in San Diego, wish they would bring back plates not just catering!

I tried to give this company a chance to right a wrong before writing a review, however, they did not stand on their word. I hired Superior Soul Food to cater my baby shower May20 with a simple brunch menu. Spoke with them via Instagram messaging regarding price and extra items such as disposable warming trays, serving utensils, condiments, etc. All due to not be able to taste test their food, Robert offered a full refund guarantee for unsatisfactory service. I made all payments on time and communicated very well with Derrick and Robert. Mind you Derrick is local in SD and Robert stays in NY, where Robert is the lead. Multiple issues: - Arrived over 1hr late to the event. No communication or replies to text, just only when they were almost there. Derrick was rude and argued with my coordinator/friend at drop off. No accountability taken and lied about returning, then stop responding to messages. - Undercooked chicken, multiple people had complaints. Plus I’m pregnant, young kids, and elderly could’ve had serious health consequences. - No warming trays! So food left out and cold upon serving. - They didn’t bring a handful of things they were supposed to and missed my whole fruit tray. - Went ghost after the drop off!! It took 3 days after the event to get ahold of someone to even speak of my concerns of the service - They used imitation shrimp and box eggs! They didn’t ask if that was ok with me. Plus I expect real food paying $1100 to a catering company. The food was BASIC and nothing special, some even commented bland. - Derrick has bad customer service, rude, and blames me and his partner for everything. No accountability has a partner in this business. - finally spoke to Robert via email and he guaranteed partial refund and now goes ghost again! I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND Superior Soul Food company to cater your event! They Overcommit and underperform! All black business are not worth supporting. I will be taking my issues further to receive my partial payment as promised. This is a headache I do not need while pregnant, but I will not be there guinea pig!

The food was an hour late. They did not bring burners to keep the food hot. After all of this the chicken was not cooked properly. When we bit into the chicken, where was blood and raw meat. DO NOT USE THIS CATERING COMPANY.

Lemon pepper chicken was so good. Looking forward to dinner there tomorrow night
