Excellent bakery with delicious, beautifully produced pastries and cookies. Highly recommend the custard topped, strawberry jam filled pastry and the Ube croissant. The matcha cream filled pastry was a little overwhelmed by the sweetness and abundance of the topping, but if you have a sweet tooth like me, it's heaven. The flavor of the topping was still very good and it looked gorgeous! My husband was disappointed by the ham and cheese croissant and said he thought it could have used a little more filling. If you are familiar with Bake Sum on Lakeshore, you will know what to expect in terms of flavors, textures and types of pastries available. Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood but side streets are a good option. Parking: Use side streets

Absolute hidden gem. Every single thing I’ve eaten here has been incredible. I live nearby and try to stop in whenever they’re open. Highly recommend for sweet and savory Asian-inspired pastries! (And especially the ube croissant!) Oh and the owner is so chill & kind too.

This bakery has been on my wishlist for a while after I read about it. They do Asian inspired and flavored pastries, both savory and sweet. Of the two that I tried on this visit, the ginger pull apart danish was my favorite, it was the right amount of crunch on the outside and chewiness on the inside without being overwhelming. The other mochi muffin treat I tried I would pass on next time. They run a promo of 5 pastries for $20 right before closing so if you want to sample a bunch come near the end of the day. Super convenient and great location in the Rockridge area near lots of other popular shops.

Very cute bakery with innovative pastries. Loved the kimchee corn cheese croissant and the mixed berry croissant tart. Also notable is the ginger pull apart, milk tea blondie and the mochi muffins. If you go near closing time, they have a special going on which is any 5 pastries for $20.

The Sunday Bakeshop is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. The selection of pastries is simply divine, but as always you have to get them early because they do sell out quickly.

I love swinging by this place on the weekend. Been coming here for at least a year now and they've been very consistent in quality and are constantly expanding their selection of delicious and innovative pastries.
