Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: Casual Value: 4/5 Ordered the shrimp/pork/beef rice roll (5*), meatloaf and fish clay pot (4*), chicken sticky rice (3.5*), siu mai (3*), and turnip cake (4*). The food won’t blow your mind and isn’t the highest quality, but it’s comforting and tastes home made. I think the rice rolls were superb, but the dim sum dishes are a 3*, 4* depending on your palette. There was one lady serving all tables, who was nice and sweet. The pricing is fair amongst the comps. Would come back again for comfort feeling.
Disappointing. I ordered the chicken sticky rice, shrimp dumplings, and soup dumplings per the server’s recommendation. All were mediocre, lukewarm, and clearly reheated in the microwave rather than freshly steamed. The XLB skins were firm on top and broken on the bottom, so they had lost their soup. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were fair.
We were sorely disappointed. The char siew buns were cold inside (I could heat up tastier buns than they did), the shrimp rice noodle came with only enough shrimp to fill up half the rice noodles. The other half were empty. No sauce. The clay pot rice was the only thing that’s ok. We are shocked that this place is rated so well, when they don’t meet the basic standards of a restaurant (heated food?)
