Before my arrival I had placed an order online for oxtails around $22.00 and Egusi with fish this came to a total of 49.50. Once after I then received a text message for my confirmation and pick up time. Upon arrival there was a parking lot available which is always great, parked the car and walked inside. The vibes were alright I was greeted, but with a face of I cant wait till this day is over. I then told the young lady that I had placed an order on the app. At this time a man walked over with my order with two very small containers. My response to the bag was is this it? The guy responded yea with an attitude. so then I took my bag and walked to the car. Something just was not right so I then decided to check the bag before I left the lot. Containe one which was foam carried the fufu and the other container (plastic) had the egusi and both were secure another good thing. Now Im upset because Im missing my oxtails so I then walk back into the restaurant to inform them of my missing food. While talking I had just happened to take a glance of the meat that was under the heat lamp, seems like all day. Well the same unhappy chick told me I did not order oxtails, but it was smack dead on my order ticket and I showed her. Then with the dumb look on her face and still unapologetic she tells me that they don't have oxtails and with aggression in her voice she stated what do you want me to do? Well the first thing she could have done was apologized to me about the situation, but nope that did not happen. So I then told her well just give me something equaling the value of the oxtails. Her response with and attitude was: Well what do you want? I told her the turkey with some sort of veggies. So she did give me what I wanted and then I asked her how much was this worth? She stated $19 and some change. So I then said well can I have some of the sauce over there? she was like that's $25.00 So I was like well you still owe me change just give me a lil cup. When I tell you she was penny pinching this was straight ridiculous and she was still upset. I asked her why was she mad because technically their intent was to hope that I drove all the way home and forget that I ordered oxtails and maybe treat me like crap over the phone and tell me that they don't sell them. Who knows what the outcome would have been, but I'm so happy that I had decided to look inside that bag. 1. Customer service sucks 2. My turkey and whatever veggie that was it was very good, but too bad I'm never coming back. 3. My fufu and Egusi was way too greasy and too many bones. All I continued to chew on was dry white crumbles and fish with bones and grease. My trash can had a field day with that. Oh and that greasy 25 dollar sauce was not worth the hype. That was fried tomato sauce. 4. Maybe they could contact Veronica's Kitchen in Inglewood and get some tips on how to treat their paying customers with respect. I've provided the oxtail post, because she told me they don't have them

Customer service horrible and food is all microwaved. Watched it with my own eyes I'm not sure if the lady is suppose to be doing that. But yeah had to share my experience didn't say anything due to the fact that the lady was very aggressive since my arriving.

After visiting several other Nigerian restaurants in LA, I’ve come to the conclusion that this one in particular is extremely overpriced for the serving size you receive! The pounded yam is always weirdly lumpy. They Americanized their soups so they don’t have the traditional spice level and did I mention the shameful portion size you get for the price? If you’re going to sell these soups for $25+ you need to use real crayfish with the powder. Add some scotch bonnet to spice it up. Get larger bowls to serve in (what you have now is a total rip off for what you charge) With these outrageous prices, this restaurant isn’t going to last. I understand post-covid inflation but this has doubled! I will never patronize greed, do the right thing and lower the price, especially if you’re going to use cheap ingredients. Make sense with your price point and stop randomly raising your prices because I noticed it went up twice this year!!!

Customer service could be better. Took a long time to get our food with such a simple order. The food was not good to be honest. It wasn't even hot. The coke I drank was the best part of my meal

(Edikanikong with Pounded Yam) Starters, my food was a little late but thats because their ordering system was messing up. The cashier at the front was so polite about it and she even acknowledged me while she was taking a phone order. I came back to get my food and she made sure everything was right!! Then, I went home to try and YALL. You can literally taste the love. It was so flavorful and you get good portions. I say go ahead and place that order!! The area was nice, clean and felt like I was going to a relative's house. 1000/10.

Clean, newly remodeled interior. The staff there is super friendly. We ordered the egusi/fufu combo, ogbono/fufu combo, jollof rice and mixed meat combo. Fufu had great, smooth texture. I wish the stews were a much spicier but I think they are trying to be more palatable to a wider audience so I understand. The jollof rice and mixed meat were my favorite, very savory, flavorful, and smoky. Would definitely go again, very happy there is a Nigerian food spot now in the 562!

African cuisine is a rarity outside of Ethiopian food so very pleasantly surprised to discover this spot in LB. Food is prepared on order so there is a bit of wait, but the wait is worth it as the food is tasty and the portions are generous, possibly overly so. Only knock is that the TV, which is looping music videos, is on a bit loud and can make conversation with dining companions difficult. Still, great food and great service.
