There was open seating outside literally nobody there, so I sat down with Service animal A server named Frank asked me to get up and said elsewhere I told him I’m actually already sitting here. Would it be a problem if I just sit here he said no you can move and sit at the end over there very aggressive. Super rude if you do go there don’t interact or have Frank serve you horrible person. Other than that the food is great.
Yummy Southern confort food! Many meals contain seafood; notify staff of allergens so they can limit cross-contamination for your meal. I have a mild seafood allergy and did not experience issues avoiding it. Dietary restrictions: Notify staff of allergens! Parking: Street parking can be very difficult and there are few paid parking spots in area.
Authentic creole restaurant. Fair prices, kid friendly. Good service
Even though the prices are high, know that the portions are huge! It can easily be split into two separate meals or shared between two people (unless you're reaaally hungry) I recommend the gumbo with rice and corn bread. I usually dip the corn bread in the broth, and it's delicious. If I made more money, I would get the jambalaya and pour some gumbo over it! I wanna try the hushpuppies the next time I order.
The food was great! We had chick&waffle and seafood jambalaya, they were both delicious. The staff was very kind and nice, they offer us high chair before we asked. The atmosphere was great and we love the decoration and the design of the store, very well curated! Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back soon! We didn’t make reservation in advance but I think for dinner hour you might need to do so, because it was almost full house during lunch hour in weekend today. Kid-friendliness: Staff was kind and offered us high chair before we asked!
I thought the shrimp and grits was ok, but I may just not be a fan of grits. My friend ordered a breakfast platter which was a huge portion with a lot of variety. I also had a banana pudding, but it was too much cream with not enough wafer. Service was friendly, but too slow - place seems understaffed. I would come back to try their gumbo, or to have a breakfast platter myself.
Very friendly staff and flavorful food. Make sure to save room for dessert! Only complaint would be that the desserts were too delish to be that small
