Lost my virginity to this ramen. First ramen ever tried and then ended trying other spots and nahhh. Wasn’t the same as my first love.
If I could give zero stars I would. I don't write reviews often, as a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever written one, and if I have, it can't be more than two. But what I witnessed here today cannot go unstated. Long story short, if you are black, do not come here because black people are not "worthy" enough to work for this establishment. Not 20 minutes ago, while dinning in and seated a few feet from both door and register, I witnessed a black lady come in and ask staff at the register for an employment application. The staff was immediately taken aback at the question. After 5 seconds of an uncomfortable pause, she said the restaurant was not hiring. The black lady pointed out the hiring sign posted in the front for all to see. The staff became agitated, mumbled her words, and told her they still weren't hiring. Of course, the black lady pointed out, yet again, at the hiring sign, but all the staff could do was shake her head. Then the black asked, "is it because I am black"? The staff just mumbled something incoherent then kept quiet. But when she saw I was paying attention, she produced a paper application. By that point, there was a uncomfortable silence in the room as the black lady and I came to suspect racism as the underlying reason for the rejection. The black lady left dejected. I could not even finish my food after that. Today marked my first brush with blatant racism. And in Los Angeles for that matter. Smh.
Great food. Place is small and cozy
I got wrong order but the store wouldn't even process a refund. It's a terrible place! The service was awful!!
Great food and not to pack they have tables the soup is great the kimchi is so delicious.hreat service
Delicious Japanese food by the Chinatown entrance. Love their Japanese food; affordable prices and their Takoyaki is the best
Great place great ramen, shame on you Tony Sperl for trying to evict this man Kenji Suzuki at his old location. This place is great and shall continue to do great.
I'm a fan of the original suehiro in little Tokyo, say they're closing due to their bad landlord. Went in today for noodles and three bowls of noodles took 75 minutes. One order was an order for a toddler and the order came out way too hot. I'll come back again and revise my review once they get settled into their relatively new location, but the workflow needs optimization.
