OVERDUE MENTION: When it comes to atmosphere and deco at this particular neighborhood nook Suede is top shelf. From the high ceilings to accent mood lighting and listening pleasure tunes are leveled just right. After that, things go left. The food menu options is less than desirable as are their exaggerated prices. The appetizers are even more lacking, causing confusion in their menu fusion, is it Mexican, Caribbean, Asian… ?? My go to is usually wings and I don’t order it from here because it’s always too crispy, probably recooked. Suede’s saving grace is their happy hour specials and drinks, as well as their birthday/group specials which started to dwindle post Rona. I hope they get it together, such potential and cute indoor/outdoor space which is rare, in cramp Brooklyn spots. At Suede you not on top of each other and servers were on point for the most part. Vegetarian options: There are options like corn, seasoned fries, vegetables, and such. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is ground level so is bathroom and outdoor space.

Suede is closed permanently I'm not sure why Google still has them but it is permanently closed

It was closed. I received a confirmation email that our reservation was set. When we got there, it was closed. So disappointing.

I must say For a Caribbean establishment, especially in Brooklyn. The the staff was very patient and came to the tables a few times while we had dinner. More importantly, the gave suggestions and had a friendly smile throughout the hour and a 1/2. No screw face in this place I am of a older generation and expect this type of service all ways. Continue with this type of Hospitality and Your business will prosper ten folds.

Love eating here, I enjoy the food and atmosphere. It's just always hard to get in contact with them. They don't answer call emails or anything. How am I suppose to get in contact for reservations or events.

Food has changed drastically. Not for the better. Was very disappointed with conch fritters. The whole thing was dough. I'm so disappointed. The wings were good.

Hate to do it but enough is enough. I will start by saying that my experiences have been generally good. Great food, solid service. But management needs work. I have generally come here for lunch midday, so it's always been pleasant---except the last two times. About a 1.5 months ago I came here with friends and they were closed for a private event. Annoying but sometimes things happen. Fast forward to today, I purposely checked their Google listing to see if they were open and I even called to make sure if they were still doing the lunch speacial. No answer but I trusted I see they're open. I get to the door and I see a sign, with faded ink that says, "We're closed for renovation." This is extremely annoying considering Suede is out the way for most people if you don't live in the immediate area. I don't have a car and there is no public transit going there. So I either have to walk 45 minutes each way or Uber. I always choose the latter, so I end up paying $40 round-trip to get no food. There is nothing more annoying than paying to come out and get no food in the end. You're closed, ok, but at least update the Google listing or have an answering machine that says you are closed. I definitely won't be back for a long while.

This is my third time coming here first time was 6years ago, and I guess alot has changed since then because I was totally unsatisfied with this visit. First my Dad wanted to order the oxtail, we were told there was no oxtail, then I wanted to order fries I was told there was no fries, so my father went with the jerk chicken and rice and I took mango wings and fried plantain, my wings and dad's meal came out first, all I saw was rice and some black wing shaped objects that when my father tried to eat was hard as ever, the plantains then came out, and I most say if I was the server I would be embarrassed to walk out and hand that to somebody when I tell you the plantains were black and not edible I don't know why they thought they could serve those to anyone, my wings were pretty hard too, I made sure and lett them know we will not be paying for my dads meaI, and we didn't will never ever return to this place again everything sucked.
