Great food! Dietary restrictions: I had a salmon salad because of diet restrictions and they accomplished me!

We stopped in for a cocktail and later ordered churros ave ice cream. I had the "Herba Buena" cocktail, he had the Todos old fashioned. The Herba Buena is a delicious and refreshing cocktail served in a highball glass. The Todos old fashioned is a classic cocktail. The churros were served crispy, rolled in sugar and cinnamon, and drizzled with chocolate. I was very impressed! They reminded me of the churros I ate when I lived in Spain

If you're on Balboa Island... No, wait... Even if you're NOT on the Island, GO to Balboa Island and find this little hidden (well, sort of hidden!) gem! The food... OUTSTANDING! The service... OUTSTANDING! The staff... OUTSTANDING! The hosted... OUTSTANDING! The ambiance... OUTSTANDING! The Al Pastor... OUTSTANDING! EVERYTHING... OUTSTANDING! If I could give more than 5 stars... I would! I will be back very soon!

I wish I could give 5,000 stars. Great service, great drinks, awesome bar tender too. Brunch is amazing, yummy chips and salsa! My margarita was soooo good. They are fresh.We were celebrating our 27th Anniversary and the cute fantastic server made a fresh hot plate of delishness. We will definitely be back every year when we come back to the island.

Mixed reviews for us. We drove out of the way to have lunch here. Two waitress tended to us. One was friendly, but the other was cold. What messed it up for me was the lack of basic attention/concern. I told the person who took the order that we didn't like spicy food and also inquired about their salsa. I asked whether she could substitute the salsa for anything mild. She suggested pico de gallo, and I said fine. When she brought it out, she didn't take the spicy salsa away. They ended up charging us $5 for small ~3.5 inch bowl! What a rip-off!! The food and chips were really good--certainly authentic and delicious. This should have been a better dining experience overall. I hope yours will be.
