Easily the best meal I have ever had! Everything is so well seasoned and flavorful.
We came for breakfast. The atmosphere is great, the place is very cozy. Highly recommend.
Farm to table delight. Happened upon the Store House while in town during brunch, and was pleasantly surprised with the impressive quality of the food. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner herself came out to visit our table in the patio. She gave us an open invitation to visit her farm down the road, and offered us a complimentary dish of her amazingly delicious, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, savory quails, that were not on the menu. First time tasting it - and because of this culinary experience, definitely not the last. Every bite was heavenly. Drinks were on point. The vibe was awesome. Will make it a must to visit when we’re in the area.
Pretty good food but very expensive. It cost me 25 dollars for an egg sandwich with 2 slices of bacon and a mineral water. So a sandwhich I could make at home for less than 5 dollars. A small orange juice... 5 bucks. The food is good, the staff is friendly, the prices are ridiculous.
Came here first time for Sunday brunch. I had crab cakes benedict. Crab cakes were burnt on bottom, eggs were over cooked with hard centers and food was lukewarm. Wife had biscuits and eggs. The smoked pork was created using some type of liquid smoke and was salty. Plus like mine was lukewarm. Dont order tea, glass is so small that after ice almost no liquid exists. This will not be repeated. Staff was nice and pleasant and old house is nice, but food kills entire experience.
We have dined at storehouse a few times before and enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We decided to treat ourselves for Valentines Day to the prefixed menu ($125 per person). This was a splurge for us but with a one year old we dont get date nights often so we justified it. We made the reservations a month in advance. They sat us in the far back room right next to the kitchen so all we could hear were pots and pans banging, and the staff calling orders and food being rushed out. Hardly a romantic setting. We asked to switch tables because they had a quite a few empty, which we were turned down. For $125 youd think at least the food would be good. The beet gnocci was overcooked to a crisp, the prawns on the main course also overcooked. I will say the classic lobolly salad was delicious as always, but we received a much smaller salad than some other tables around us. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was not our favorite dining experience here. We spent a small fortune for a night out and next time I think we will do so elsewhere. The couple at the table next to us appeared to be regulars and even they were saying “we should have gotten reservations at Il Brutto”. For full disclosure our waitress was lovely and so was the hostess.
Delicious farm to table brunch with fresh juices/mocktails, french press coffee, and the best fries. Cameron was such a great waitress too.
Incredible food. Amazing service. Best cocktails in bastrop! Elevated dishes with a hometown vibe. Cant speak highly enough about it!!
