Made reservations for v day, they canceled them a week out due to ongoing maintenance problems, too late to rebook anywhere good in town. Ruined anniversary and v day. Won’t ever give them a chance again.
I go here with my parents every time they are in town and we freakin love it! They are from Florida and they always say how fresh the seafood is here. We always get oysters and the Thai curry mussels and of course a couple bottles of wine. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about those dang mussels!
#1 the oysters were delicious! #2 Our waiter (I believe his name was Micha) was spot on with the recommendations and I was with a picky eater who loved everything our server suggested. Did not expect to get a perfect pork chop at a seafood restaurant, but it was so delicious.
Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. I had the saffron risotto with seared scallops and it was delicious. The drinks were also lovely. The cornbread they bring out before your meal was amazing. However I don’t know that the food was equivalent to the price tag.
Some of the freshest seafood in the city -- along with one of the best patios. Few places offer the combo of location (right by Union Station), people-watching (one of the best patios downtown), and seafood -- S&G is your spot. Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, and Dungeness Crab can't be missed -- And make sure to try a Granita Cocktail (La Niña is my personal fave).
Foos D was over-priced and overpriced for lunch
