A great place to shop. Friendly people.
We stopped there today intending to buy apples and pies. We parked on a dirt parking area and started over toward the building with our tiny terrier on a leash. We expected to take turns waiting outside with the dog. Before we were halfway there a young woman approached us and said, "For insurance purposes we can't have any dogs on the property." I said, " I just planned wait outside the building." She stated again that no dogs were allowed on the PROPERTY (she emphasized). We looked at all the dirt and gravel everywhere and said, "On the entire PROPERTY?". She said, "YES." We left. I'm finding that taking a small animal, even to sit with outside, really shows the true colors of a business. JoAnn Fabrics, Lowes, Home Depot, and many restaurants all welcome pets. Mine is on a leash which even has bags in case it's necessary to pick up after the dog. It's pretty strange a dog is not allowed anywhere on acres and acres of dirt, gravel , and grass. I don't mind staying outside with my dog. We travel a lot across country. The dog can't be left in the car on a hot day when I need a break from driving. This turns out to be a quick way to see beyond fake smiles and past a business person's facade to learn what they really think of customers. I would NEVER recommend this place.
I impatiently wait every year for the Jonathan apples, but ya can't rush mother nature. They are the best for my iron skillet apple pie. Getting fresh apple cider is another must too.
This place is a hidden gem with the best apples I’ve ever had. Staff and owners are incredibly nice!!
Loved this place! Great options if you love apples. Never knew there were so many colors of pumpkins.
Ok. I’m a pie snob. I’m sure a lot of people feel this way, but my mom made the best pie. I’ve pretty much given up trying other pies. We had friends bring one of your cherry pies over the other night and I doubted I would even try it. My hubby got a slice and I said, “How is it?” He said, “It’s GOOD.” I said, “How’s the crust?” (cuz they’re always too sweet) He said, “It’s GOOD!” I tried it and it was amazing! Nice tartness, flaky crust, not too sweet! I’d drive over an hour for one of your pies. And plan to very soon.
Their pies are simply delicious! My second year ordering for Thanksgiving and the cherry pie, made with the Michigan cherries, is out of this world good!!!
