I come here often, service is usually exceptional, however, today, I waited 35+ minutes to get my drink AFTER ordering. I was sitting right in front of the bar the whole time and they never called my name out, even though they usually bring me my drink. I told the barista that I have been waiting for more than 30 minutes and he just hands me my drink from the shelf… I walked out of there literally with tears down my eyes because I wasted my time waiting for some matcha that is now watered down. Also, how do the baristas and the cashiers see a customer waiting for more than 35 minutes and not say a single word to them.
The Nakama ceremonial matcha latte with oatmilk and light vanilla syrup. It had a very weak matcha flavor, which was very disappointing - it tasted more like oat milk with a hint of matcha rather than a matcha latte. For a whopping $7.50, I expected the flavor to be a lot richer. The matcha powder was also not mixed in very well, as the drink felt very grainy, and that doesn't usually happen in other cafes with ceremonial matcha. The Spanish latte, on the other hand was very good, but I would suggest doing an alternative milk if you don't like your drinks too sweet. The flavor is really great, though, and would go even better with oatmilk (as opposed to the whole milk they usually use). In terms of service, the employees were very nice, and very patient when answering my questions regarding recommendations, flavors of the food/drinks, etc. Parking: Park in a parking structure, and parking is validated
They burn their beans and the coffee was over extracted. It's hard to know hype from quality before trying the place but this place is clearly all hype.
latte is fairly good, black coffee a little on the sour side. parking can be difficult, but there is plenty of space to sit. the line can take a long time, for some reason...
A lot of dust. I felt uncomfortable being there and left without placing an order.
It's too dirty and dusty to buy anything here
