I came in this restaurant a few weeks ago with my friends. At first, we found this place really cute. The waitress at first was really friendly. We ordered, we eat, it went well.. Until the moment of payment. We were simple young tourists. It was our last night in town. The waitress brought the bill, the minimum of the tips asked was about 18$. We didn't had a lot of cash left and couldn't use our credit cards for the must of us. So we figured it out and gave all the cash that we had for the tips (about 10$). BUT when the waitress came to take the money, she made a weird face and went talking to all her co-workers, and we saw the half of the crew watching us and laughing. We didn't understood at first, but then she gave us the bill back and we saw that she surronded the word "tips" with a pen and wrote "thank you" like she was disappointed. Well let me tell you one thing Robbyn, we founded this behavior really really disrespectful. At first you we're sweet and then your smile disappeared. You we're smiling for the tips only and not for your customer. You don't know how much a person can afford, you don't know what each person is going through. You we're really rude, and your coworkers weren't better by laughing and looking at us. I've never experienced such a thing in my whole life and I traveled a lot.If you are not satisfied with your salary talk to your boss, call Joe Biden or do a strike. Don't put the blame on your customers. I sincelery hope Robbyn, that you will became less hypocritical and a Little more human. I will definitely will come back to NYC but NEVER in your restaurant.

I went 2 days ago, I ate in this place several times before; ordered the lasagna (US$31.00) which was saggy snd too thin, You can charge money but please deliver some quality. Wouldn’t ordered again or recommend it to buy. Good quality lasagna has a thicker layer; good quality ground beef filling, tomato sauce, cheese and best of all better made.

Just came here for a quick bite after walking for hours. We ordered the diavola and the arancini along with cocktails. Soo good. I don’t know why people gave this place a bad review. The food is very good quality.

Well located near Penn Station and beautiful city views. However, the food was bland and standard . . . Like any chain Italian pizza place.

I wish I got to experience what some others claim to have had at this restaurant. What a pile up of bad at Stella 34. I cannot recommend this place, even if it was just an atypical night for service. The food was lackluster and the only appeal is to see the view from above Macy's. Not worth the experience, see below. I went here with some friends for a 7pm dinner. Though they close at 8, I thought things would be speedy and efficient to get us our food. Alas, it was just a clusterF of bad: -Took awhile for a waitress to even come to the table. She seemed frazzled and busy and eventually another server came and took our order again. -We said to bring out the food whenever it is ready, no need to course it. The food took forever and we waited over 45 mins for apps, which were messed up. -Cicoria salad was super gloppy, bitter, and had a really weird taste. Sent it back and got a Caesar instead. Where is a simple house salad or something without 12 different ingredients in it? -First batch of calamari was room temp and the breading was falling off. Second batch was better. Still don't understand how this was messed up. -The $21 margherita pizza was so bland and flavorless that parm and pepper flakes couldn't save it. The sauce was watery, crust was floppy, and we only ate it because we were starving. -Paccheri pasta dish had potential but the pasta was overcooked and the ragu was watery. Again, lack luster on seasoning (salt & pepper). At a certain point, you could tell the staff was just avoiding our table and cared more about cleaning up to go home. They gave us no plates or utensils for dinner so we grabbed off other tables until another staff member brought us some. We asked for the manager who eventually came over. She listened to the feedback, apologized, but only offered us dessert. She seemed quiet and couldn't really converse about the problems. She ultimately took the apps off the bill but never said anything else. Couldn't tip much because everything was just bad and we had next to no service. Would give 0 stars if possible :(
