Delicious, hole-less bagel collab with Philly Cream Cheese! My everything bagel was tender and soft with a bit of a bite. Generous amount of cream cheese.

Terrible place, it's no reason I should have 45 minutes for a grilled cheese. Wont be going back to this place anytime soon.

Steingolds is our Friday treat! Every week, I look forward to ordering from here, walking up with our dog, and taking a nice stroll back. We almost exclusively get their draft dark matter cold brew and 2-3 bagels with cream cheese (light on the cc for me!). I’ve treated myself to some of their pastries or to go packaged snacks for picnics. I’ve also ordered dozens for parties. Everyone that works there is an absolute gem.

I actually really enjoyed the food I had but the staff member we engaged with was down right mean! She was the hostess (albeit lacking any host vibes) and managing the cash wrap and made us feel like we were an absolute burden for patroning the business. She was in an awful mood and had such a chip on her shoulder. She made numerous rude comments and we brushed them off at first and figured we walked in at a stressful time but then almost an hour later as we were leaving (after the same person somewhat forcefully made us leave and wouldn’t let us finish our last few bites of food bc they were closing at 3pm) she made a nasty sarcastic comment. We also wanted to buy a bunch of their refrigerated salads and spreads to go but she said “too late. Time to go home.” even tho it wasn’t 3pm yet… weird. It’s just a bummer to spend money at a place and be made to feel like you’re an inconvenience. Unfortunately, I won’t be back because of this experience even though I live and die for Matzo Ball soup!

Very nice place and tasty food with a lively atmosphere. Portions were a little small for that sandwich which I think was called a Sister-in-law. The sandwich was really good and the atmosphere was very vibrant. The lady taking our order was very kind and she helped us decide what to order. I really liked everything about this experience except.

I’m in search of the best Ruben in Chicago and this place was not it! From the customer service to the food, I’ll give it 1 star. The price of the Ruben with a side of potato salad was not worth it. The Ruben was very dry and did not taste fresh at all, the potato salad tasted like a smashed potato, that was just placed inside of a condiment container with no ingredients. However I will rate the cashier with the pink hair 5-star, she was very polite.
