For context: I'm a homeless trans girl trying my best and was already experiencing dysphoria before I even went in. This morning, I went in to use the bathroom. I asked for the batheoom code, went in. Overheard "That's a dude" from the baristas, and immediately felt worse. Wash my hands, come out, order, and hope nothing else is said. "I need to get a better job" from the barista making my drink, despite a tip roughly equal to my order's price. I felt horrible at this point, drove off, and dumped my drink because I could not trust that nothing was done to it, as I had witnessed at other locations previously. This was not okay behavior. I've been treated better at other establishments and will not be coming here again, because this consistent treatment from strangers, especially in the context of resturaunts, is exactly the reason I have trust issues. I did not need this today. Edit: This on top of those intial feelings of dysphoria combined with other comments I recieved after made me cry to the point of needing to get comfort from my best friend. I hope everyone involved is proud of themselves.
The staff is the best. Especially the morning crew. They’re very personable, know all their regulars, and get drinks and food out quickly.
