Altho wonderful setting and great service - the food was mediocre at best. The amuse-bouche was over salty and tough. Waygu steak was nothing special - it could have just as easily been a choice cut of meat. The only thing we felt was really good were the brussel sprouts.
What an amazing place. The service is out of this world. It is rare that we receive service that is even adequate, these guys do an amazing job! Food is phenomenal. Drinks are phenomenal. Atmosphere is spectacular. Don't miss happy hour from 4:00 to 6:30. Fantastic people.
Our server was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable of all the things. I would return just for the stellar service matching the quality of the food. Being able to select a special knife for your steak was something unexpected and memorable. The seafood tower is a must. We decided to get the NY Strip and the hanger steak with chimichurri. The steak was perfect. Dessert was the absolute #1 best crème Brulé espresso martini in the states. The bus boys need training on how to pour water, try filling all glasses at same time & much needed touching up etiquette clearing the table. For how good this place is, some the kids here don’t match the level of service the waiters delivered to the scene. Still I think this is an absolute must visit when in Coronado. 9/10
Parking was extremely difficult to find due to it being in Coronado. But once past that issue, food was amazing and happy hour specials were decent. Parking: Parking is horrific
Everytime I have the luxury of eating here it’s nothing short of amazing! The entire meal is an experience and I absolutely love it!
One of the better happy hours in town. Lillet Mignon, or paper plane are favorites depending on your taste of alcohol.
The restaurant is located in Coronado across the street from the Hotel Del. The design and decor of the restaurant is upscale, so overall it looks really nice. The menu is loaded with many Wagyu and prime cuts to choose from. Since it was my first time there, of course I had to the go with the dry aged wagyu NY. I paired it with a Sonoma red. The steak was cooked to my liking and the taste was spot on. This steakhouse knows what they are doing for sure. I will also recommend the cocktails, I had a couple smokey old fashions that actually come with a smoke bubble to your table, which you should definitely try.
