The last time I went here, it was assumed that I was "queer".... I'm not and have no idea what made the worker think that. I'll definitely say something directly if it happens again because it made me uncomfortable, I didn't that time because I was too surprised. The coffee was fine, it's always kinda loud in there and that's whatever, I just think they're maybe too used to always interacting with the same kinds of people and it leads to these kinds of odd comments.
I had this LOVELY barista Jonah, they were so kind and funny and made me smile and made my day :) and my drink was DELICious and very pretty!
From my experience, Spyhouse has never let me down. It's the perfect place to drink some good coffee, meet with someone, or get some work done. It's usually pretty busy during the times you'd expect because people tend to stick around for a while, but as long as there is a seat open, I always have a good time. The vibes are productive, and the people that work there always seem very chill and have great style/vibes as well. It's definitely not cheap, an iced coffee will run you about $8-$9 easily, but the coffee is my favorite. I like that they are open pretty late as well!
Enjoyed a chai which was great and a couple of bakery items. Wife had a coffee and a yogurt that she enjoyed.
