Update: A year and a half later after I been working in the same plaza as the Security Guard, Jackie is still the same evil bitter old lady. She sold my coworkers a pastry with fuzzy mold growing on the inside of it. They took a picture for documentation but decided not to share it. *If she would’ve just apologized for false accusing me of theft, I probably accepted her apology. Original Story: Jackie the owner of this coffee shop and Park Merced is a racist and has a major prejudice against a certain race. Although she does a great job of hiding it at the right times, I have seen that dark side plenty of times. I’m the security guard next door who has always greeted her and given her business. Today I went to grab breakfast at Spressa then Jackie randomly accused me of siphoning gas out of the U-Haul Trucks for no reason. Then Jackie threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave her shop. I have no reason steal from a Plaza where I work at, especially with a full time job. The people of this neighborhood have seen how hard of a worker I am. I was hurt and expected an apology but instead she doubled down on her rude malicious behavior toward me. I confirmed my suspicions about her when she accused another elderly black resident living in Park Merced that he was stealing gas from U-Haul trucks. I’m also suspicious she may be maliciously trying to put razor blades or nails in peoples tires when she acts like she is “cleaning up ”. Today one of her regulars walked up to my store and threatened me, then I immediately found a razor blade shoved in my rear passenger tire. I shouldn’t have to feel this way about an “owner” of a plaza and coffee shop.

Tidy cafe with alcoholic beverages, snacks, and bagged tea. I came here to get a warm drink to hold onto in the frigid weather. I decided to order a small honey ginger tea ($2.25), because I didn't want something with caffeine. I looked around while waiting for my tea and saw plenty of seating, a small TV, and a selection of bottled beverages, pastries, burritos, and snacks. There was also some beer and wine on display. I could feel through the cup that my drink was really really hot. After letting it cool for a while, I drank it and it was just okay, which is what I expected. It served its purpose well as a hand warmer. Vegetarian options: Almost everything here is vegetarian. Some foods have meat. Dietary restrictions: Drinks are made to order and can be customized, ask employees for more information Parking: Limited free parking nearby Kid-friendliness: A child will be glad to eat. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible

The woman that is the main worker (and is there most of the time) has great energy and makes a great latte!
