Southern Grist Brewing Company - East Nashville Taproom

The beer is okay. The inside is cool, though. However, both times I’ve come, I’ve been kind of turned off by the vibe of the staff. This isn’t some Michelin star restaurant, it’s a brewery. Chill out! I thought my cigarette was out when I walked inside, but I guess it wasn’t, which I obviously should’ve paid closer attention to. So, that was my fault. As I was waiting in line to order, as well as ask for a trash can to throw it away, some dude who worked there came up to me about it. I understand that I seem young to some because I’m of a very small stature and don’t speak very loudly, but I’m in my 30s and he spoke to me like I was some dumb kid. Then, when I explained to him that I was done with it and just trying to throw it away, he acted like a weirdo and wouldn’t let me use a trash can for it when I asked. Why was that so difficult!? I ended up just walking away from him and going outside to litter because it was as if his brain was short-circuiting over a trash can. And as someone who was born and raised here, that really frustrated me because this city is already getting dirtier due to construction and tourists. I’m just trying to be a responsible adult, bruh.

Offered A sandwich without a side. Their hot chicken sandwich is fantastic but had to order aside for $12 instead of some fries for $1 or some seasoned fries for $4. Bees are good. Had two flights and very good.

Freaking awesome food; their potatoes, their stuffed olives, their burrata toast were all outstanding! Seriously tasty and friendly service. Great vibe as soon as you walk in!

Definitely some of the best beer in Nashville! I tried a few, and I did not experience a bad one on the menu. The best beer I have had here is the Chocolate Covered Cherry Sno Cone…..hands down!

This just might be my new go to spot! I moved to the area and tried this place and the beer and food is incredible. Highly recommend and will be going back!

Best burger I've had in as long as I can remember. I was a little disappointed when I saw that they don't serve French fries. We ordered the fried potatoes, and my disappointment went away. They were better than fries. The large order of potatoes is enough to share. My favorite beer from the flight was the chocolate covered cherry sno cone. Our waitress was very friendly and didn't rush us out. I started to knock off a star because the table was sticky, but the food was so good I can't do it. We will definitely be going back.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A few beers to choose from and some tasty food. The kale salad was our best bite. The wings were not special. Vinegar potatoes were yummy and the bao buns were a good bite too. We finished with the burger and it had a good beefy flavor. We would return.
