The vegetarian burgers were ok. The service was good. The chairs were in need of fixing.

Southern Burger has succeeded in providing literally the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. Select members of the staff are incompetent and fail to do their jobs to the point it’s truly astonishing. The staff loves to put you on a 30 minute waitlist during slow hours when there’s an abundance of seating available throughout the establishment. I believe they hope the wait turns you away so they don’t have to do their jobs. If you’re okay with getting put on the waitlist (to their dismay), they’ll try to make you wait around for nothing. If anything, you’ll have to wait for them to clear a table that’s been sitting uncleared for the last hour. I never realized it took half an hour to clear a table and wipe it down, but you’d be amazing at how long the most simple tasks take inside of Southern Burger. Once seated your waitstaff might take your drink orders if you’re lucky. I recommend trying to keep your drink simple, because even something as complex as a water will take about 15 minutes for them to pour and bring out. I think they must send an employee down to to Wolftever Creek to fetch a bucket of water which then then has to be purified in the back. That’s the only explanation I can possibly think of for how long it takes to get a glass of water. The fun doesn’t stop there. If your waiter brings your drinks out you may even get a chance to order food. This is always a fun experience because it’s like playing Russian roulette, except the game is guessing which person at your table won’t get their order put in with the kitchen. After some time passes your waiter will come back with almost everyone’s food, but forget one order behind. They will go back to the kitchen to grab it, but realize it’s not there. They will then realize they forgot to put the order in because they were too high. Thankfully, they’ll openly admit this to you and put the order in again. The best part about this is they won’t prioritize the forgotten order with the kitchen. This means the cooks will first complete all other orders placed during your wait before preparing your forgotten order. By the time everyone else at your table has eaten their food and is ready to leave, your waiter will finally bring out that last forgotten order for you. In conclusion, Southern Burger has not only met but dramatically surpassed my expectations of poor restaurant service. It's a place where the art of customer dissatisfaction seems to be practiced with an almost admirable dedication. The staff's ability to consistently underperform in every aspect of service, from seating to serving, is a rare feat. This experience has not only redefined my standards for what constitutes inadequate service but has also left me with a lingering sense of bewilderment. How can an establishment, operating in an industry built on service and satisfaction, achieve such a level of notoriety for its failures? The restaurant presents a paradox, a case study in how not to run a service-based business. It's as if Southern Burger has taken the conventional rules of hospitality and customer care, only to disregard them completely. This level of service, or lack thereof, serves as a stark reminder of the importance of efficiency, attentiveness, and customer respect in the hospitality industry. As I reflect on my visit, I realize that Southern Burger, in its own unique and flawed way, has provided me with an unforgettable dining experience, albeit for all the wrong reasons. It's a reminder that the essence of good service is not just about the food but the overall experience - an area where Southern Burger has left much to be desired.
