My family from DC, Cleveland, Miami and Florence visited this restaurant for my mom's 80th birthday lunch. The food was fresh and delicious! The fried chicken was the best we've ever had! The service/staff was absolutely amazing. Southern hospitality at its best! We were so impressed, We went back 3 times in a week! 5 stars for everything!!!

When you want that “home cooked” meal, you go to South of Pearl..the collard greens are amazing, fried chicken is perfection, this place is the gem of Darlington imo

The seasoning on the fried chicken was a delightful surprise. Enjoyed the pork chop, too. The fresh watermelon was delicious. Banana pudding tasted like my mom's. There is interesting artwork scattered throughout the restaurant.
