Soul Vegetarian No. 2

Place was a hole in the wall. Parking was a bit weird here but it’s Atlanta what can you expect. The front door is very misleading. Maybe a sign should be put up to say employees only. The service was okay at first the girl wasn’t giving much information on how the menu worked since the options we viewed online weren’t available in store. A young man helped us order and definitely gave you the second star on service. Both said the food was good. They didn’t have to lie like that. Cause BABYYYY The food was literally inedible. I spent nearly 70 dollars here. I got 2 orders of kalbone with Mac and cheese collard greens and rice w/ gravy. Best thing was the kalbone very similar to “ oxtail” but with bbq sauce. The rice w/ gravy was disgusting . Rice way too soft and the gravy taste heavy and gelatinous. Collard greens were missing flavor and tasted sour. Mac and cheese was sweet and somehow tasted like powdered milk. I reluctantly ate a few bites because I didn’t want to waste food but I would NEVER eat here again. My honest opinion is to maybe revamp the ingredients for a more pleasant mouth experience.

I visited this place today. A guy took the order. We wanted the sandwich; he told me the platter comes with two sides. Okay! We told him the two sides. Then, we ordered the Kalbone. A child came out and ask us did we order yet. We told her and she says I didn’t know if it was Kalabone platter. We said two veggie burgers platter and the side kalabone. Told us it didn’t come with two side and I had to choose which one I wanted. I ask her is that how she wanted to solve this problem. She said yes! I told her it wasn’t good to take.a customers order, up sale them to something else and come back saying it’s one side. She raised her voice telling me I’m talking loud when my voice is deep. Her attitude is trashed even for a seventeen year old. My daddy owns this place! Then, proceeded to call the police because I ask for receipt of refund. No conflict resolution!

I've been coming here for close to eight years but the past year or so the food has been pretty terrible. The mac and cheese used to be one of the best things on the menu but recently I don't know if they changed the recipe or what but it tastes horrible. I'm really disappointed because soul veg has been probably my favorite vegan restaurant for years but I probably won't be coming back for a long time.

By far, the best plant based food in the game. I'm glad to see the quality and taste hasn't changed over the years. The mac! The salad dressing! The portions! Much love to Soul Vegetarian.

I'm unsure of how to post my picture with this review. The food is disgusting. I got rice and gravy, cornbread, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. It was literally the worse vegan food I've ever tasted, and I mostly eat vegan (sometimes I have fish). I got the food to go. The place looks like a hole in the wall. The cornbread was rock hard- the plastic fork couldn't go into the top of it and the taste of it does not taste like cornbread. The Mac and cheese is terrible-like nothing I've ever tasted. I look closer at the Mac and cheese, and there's a rolled up piece of trash in it - it was the paper edge that's peeled off the dotted line of an envelope. How very careless for that to end up in my food. I would not go back here. I do not recommend. Vegetarian options: All vegan restaurant

First time dining here & the food was great! I got something the owner said he could make for me that wasn't even on the menu. It was fried up cauliflower to resemble "wings" with hot sauce. I chose rice and gravy and mac and cheese as my two sides. My fiance got the kalebone burger with onion rings. Carrot cake for dessert. Very friendly and quick service with very reasonable prices.

This place hits the spot. The Mac n cheese is ! Highly recommend. Perfect vegan food. Vegetarian options: 100% vegan!

Epic vegan food! The mac and cheese is out of this world. The tofu sandwich was also outstanding. I'd be here all the time if I lived closer!

I came here for the 1st time & ordered the BBQ Kalebone Twists entree with greens, cornbread & sweet potatoes. The BBQ Kalebone was a very interesting texture, I expected a more crispy skin I suppose. I cannot tell if the entire entrée was already cold or the barbecue sauce that they put over it was cold. The greens & sweet potatoes were perfect. The cornbread is not sweet at all (if that’s your preference) and I wasn’t a complete fan of the crumbly almost dry texture. Overall, I will certainly come back to maybe try the cauliflower entree next.
