What a lovely Cuban gastronomia. So tasty and quality of food is very good. The owner Osvaldo is very passionate and kind and caring. Very hospitable! His dishes are made of superb quality. I highly recommend the ox tail plate with rice and plantains. I tend to crave this dish for I have returned numerous times and the taste is always consistent. The sauce is very flavorful and the meat is cooked to perfection. Top it with an Ironbeer, a satisfying Cuban soda. I am one to rarely write reviews but I wanted to share this great gastronomia which is Soto's Cuban Kitchen.
The food delicious friendly costumer service ask for the pizza is delicious
Only got the oxtail but it was banging. Fall off the bone, perfection. If I ordered an empanada with it I may have ascended to a higher realm; will have to try next time.
The food was good. I got the Cubano sandwich. The sandwich itself was good. It came with fries, which was soggy. Willing to try again.
Genuinely loved our visit here. Ordered: Cuban Sandwich, Lechon Asado, black beans and platanos maduros, jugo de piña (pineapple juice) I was surprised by how empty this food hall is, but it looks like they do a lot of business through delivery. When we arrived we found parking right outside. I met the owner who was so kind and answered all my questions about what to get. We decided on the classic Cubano (ham, roasted pork, Swiss, mustard and pickles) and Lechon Asado (garlic mojo cooked pork with black beans and maduros) Everything was so flavorful! The Lechon reminded me of Miami so much! My partner is Cuban and ate every bite of his plate. The only sad part for me was that the bread wasn’t traditional Cuban bread but it doesn’t take away from the quality or flavor of the food. We loved everything here and can’t wait to come back and support this locally owned and operated restaurant. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are mostly limited to sides, but highly recommend Black bean soup and the platano maduros or mariquitas with aji (banana chips with garlic)
Went to the Burbank location at the Ramada Inn. No wait. We had the lechon asado (roasted pork) and oxtail. Both came out quickly, super delicious (but oxtail was juicer and better, more flavorful). Very reasonably priced and big portions. Ask for the salsas instead of bottled hot sauces. Hung out with the owner for a while. 5/5 will come back again
Way out of the way location - but the owner is charming, sweet and Cuban of course. The empanadas and cuban coffee were amazing! If you need a little break from the scene and appreciate authentic cuban food, do it!!
Gracias.
