Great for a date night! Service, ambiance, food and drink all paired perfectly Apps: feta cheese dip Arancini Entree Pesto pasta Tortellini pasta I must say that the workers are very happy and the managers/owners are very friendly and make us feel like family. Drinks are good, pizza hits the spot and you really can't go wrong with the ambiance.

The service at Sophia’s Grotto is always a disappointment, especially because of the toxic atmosphere perpetuated by the manager, Joe. I recently had a shocking encounter with him. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM, and despite arriving on time, we were left waiting for a staggering 45 minutes. When I approached the manager to inquire about our reservation, he not only failed to apologize but responded with confrontational hostility. His behavior was a glaring example of toxic masculinity, as he chose aggression over courtesy, leaving me and my companions feeling uneasy and threatened. As if the unacceptable wait time and Joe’s rude demeanor weren’t enough, things took a turn for the worse when he eventually lost his temper and began screaming at me. It was an absolutely shocking and unwarranted display of aggression. I cannot emphasize enough that there was nothing in our behavior that justified such a response, making the entire incident deeply unsettling. I used to be a regular here, but the restaurant’s current state is not reflective of what it used to be. Definitely avoid going there!

Best service in town and always friendly! The staff and the boss Joe always takes care of their customers! Great espresso martinis too. Sometimes it’s busy but that’s because it’s so good!

I made a reservation for my friends birthday at 7:30 and the manager, Joe, kept us waiting until 8:20. He was hostile and even started yelling at us when we calmly expressed our frustration. He caused a scene in front of the entire restaurant, and I was worried he was going to get violent. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. I used to be a regular here, but I will never be coming back.
